A variety of topics were discussed, including Woods' thoughts on the upcoming WWE Survivor Series pay-per-view, his recent move back to Friday Night Smackdown in the draft, his aspirations going forward in WWE as a singles competitor and much more.

Let's take a closer look at five things learned from WWE Superstar King Woods' Sportskeeda interview:

#5 King Woods reveals his creative philosophy in WWE

King Woods has been heralded by many of his fellow WWE Superstars as having one of the best professional wrestling minds on the WWE roster.

Both his New Day tag team partners Big E and Kofi Kingston have gone on record stating that The New Day faction wouldn't exist without Woods and his driving creative force.

When discussing his creative process, Woods explaining the importance of creating something new and not "rehashing" the same things over and over again for his character on WWE television:

"So, I feel like if you prefer to take the same thing over and over again, we're not artists anymore. We're just rehashing things, and that's fine. I'm not knocking that vibe, but for me, my brain feels at homeostasis; I guess I feel even, not off-kilter when I'm creating something."

King Woods has also been credited for some of the more unique aspects of The New Day, such as Francesca the trombone and some of The New Day's elaborate entrances and ring-gear.

#4 King Woods reveals his dream WWE WrestleMania opponent

WWE SmackDown star King Woods has spoken into reality several goals that he has gone on to achieve in his career.

Woods stated on several occasions his desire to win the King of The Ring and host gaming show G4, both of which he has subsequently achieved.

When asked what other goals he would like to achieve, the King of the Ring revealed that he would like to face fellow SmackDown star Cesaro at WrestleMania one day:

"So I haven't put this one into existence yet. But it's something I really want and I want it really bad. I want a WrestleMania match with Cesaro. Like, I want us to fight, not to the death, but tooth and nail. Something nasty and gritty at a WrestleMania." Woods revealed.

Cesaro competed in his very first WWE WrestleMania singles match at WrestleMania 37 this year when he defeated Seth Rollins.

Perhaps next year, The King of Swing could face off against The King of the Ring at WrestleMania 38.

#3 King Woods reveals aims of current solo run in WWE

While still remaining a member of The New Day faction, King Woods has embarked on his first major singles run of his WWE career in recent months.

Kicking into high gear with his King of the Ring victory at Crown Jewel, Woods has feuded with Roman Reigns and The Usos on Smackdown in recent episodes.

When discussing his current singles run, the former WWE Tag Team Champion revealed that his goal was to create something new and unique every single week on WWE television:

"So, with all of this stuff, the solo run I'm having right now, I'm getting to do my best to create things every week. And they might not work at all. It might be the worst thing you've ever seen in your life, but I'm making an attempt to make something better, and I feel like I can give you the same meal, I can give you the same lunch every day. We can eat pizza with the square pepperonis, it's going to be good for a few weeks, and then we're going to want something else. So I'm going to attempt to bring something different to the table every time they see me, and we'll see if it works," Xavier Woods added.

It remains to be seen if Woods will challenge Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship in the future. However, anything is possible in WWE.

#2 King Woods discusses if he is a locker room leader for WWE SmackDown

WWE King of the Ring Xavier Woods will represent SmackDown at Survivor Series as he and four other blue brand stars face off against Team RAW in a 5-on-5 elimination tag team match.

Given his tenure with WWE and respect from his peers, some may consider King Woods to be a locker room leader for Friday Night SmackDown.

When asked if he considers himself a locker room leader, King Woods stated that as a king he is responsible for his fellow man and will always lead the troops into battle:

"Well, as big a superstar as I am, because I am the king. I do feel a certain obligation to lead troops into battle and make sure that morale is high and make sure that they are well fed and taken care of. They are my people. I am them and they are me." King Woods proclaimed.

Xavier Woods has completed in numerous Survivor Series classic matches, including The New Day's clash with The Shield at Survivor Series in 2017.

#1 King Woods' reveals how he would react if WWE fired him

WWE has released a plethora of stars on its talent roster so far in 2021.

Every passing month brings with it another round of "budget cuts" with more and more names becoming free agents.

King Woods revealed that he is on "bonus time" as he has already accomplished so much in his WWE career.

The King of the Ring revealed that if WWE fired him tomorrow he'd be thankful for the career that he has had and move onto new and different opportunities:

"I feel they are all kind of connected because I feel like I'm essentially trying to do the same thing everywhere. I'm just trying to be the best version of myself in that space, I guess, is the best way to put it. So, as far as wrestling with New Day, we've been able to accomplish so many things as a tag team, and that's been my focus as a kid. I love tag team wrestling, and I love King of the Ring. So, as far as wrestling goals, now I'm on bonus time. If they would have been like, 'Hey, you won King of the Ring,' and they came back and hit me with the 'You're fired,' I would have been like, 'Okay, deuces, it has been a fun ride,'" Xavier Woods stated.

Xavier Woods has yet to hold a singles championship during his WWE career, perhaps that will be the next phase in the career of the new king.
