Monday Night RAW: 3 Botches and mistakes you probably missed this week (October 22nd, 2019)

The buildup to the upcoming Crown Jewel pay-per-view dominated this week's episode of Monday Night RAW, especially since Ric Flair returned to the show to name Drew McIntyre as the final member of his team. Interestingly, despite this being the penultimate episode of RAW ahead of WWE's trip to Saudi Arabia, there wasn't a women's segment on the entire show.

This was also the first episode of RAW since the conclusion of the draft, which meant that the company was able to take advantage of their new roster with both Humberto Carrillo and The Street Profits seen as the stand out performers of the night.

This RAW in particular served as a chance for many WWE Superstars to make an impact, but with the live show factor, there is always room for error and this week there were a number of interesting botches and mistakes.

#3. Ricochet misses his kick

Drew McIntyre was named as the last member of Team Flair heading into the five-on-five showdown against Team Hogan next Thursday night at Crown Jewel. On RAW, McIntyre took on Team Hogan member Ricochet and sent quite the message.

Ricochet has been one of RAW's stand out performers in recent weeks, but the former United States Champion was dominated by McIntyre, as Ric Flair looked on from ringside. McIntyre looks like he's a hard hitter and Ricochet attempted to even things up when he went for a kick on the ropes, but it landed nowhere near the Scottish Superstar. It looked as though Ricochet wobbled as he hit the ropes, which was one of the reasons why he missed the kick. Thankfully, he was later able to land the kick from the corner instead.

#2. Andrade is a fruit?

Seth Rollins faced off against Humberto Carrillo last night on RAW. Carillo is a new face to RAW, after being drafted from 205 Live. Rollins came out on top against the up and coming Superstar, but ahead of the match, Humberto was welcomed to RAW by Charly Caruso where he was able to point out that Andrade was a future World Champion.

The issue here was the fact that Humberto tripped over his words when it came to the word future and accidentally called Andrade a fruit. Rollins later spotted Humberto and challenged him to a match. While the outcome didn't go the way the newcomer would have hoped, he did put on a fantastic match and was able to prove that he could be a future World Champion.

Superstars trip over their words all the time and this was only a small botch compared to ones that wrestlers sometimes make during live promos, but it was hilarious and will probably stand out for weeks.

#1. Sin Cara botches a body slam

Andrade faced off against Sin Cara this week on RAW, as it appeared that WWE wanted to rehash their feud from a few months ago. Sin Cara has become known for his botches throughout his matches in the past, but the high flyer has improved in recent years, to the point where he's put on some fantastic bouts.

This week was no different, as the two men's styles seemed to complement each other well before Andrade delivered a bodyslam to Sin Cara and the luchador seemed to forget what it was like to take the bump.

Sin Cara instead just fell onto the floor and Andrade went for the pin instead. It comes as no surprise that with Zelina Vega in his corner Andrade was able to come out on top and show that he means business following his move over to Monday Night RAW.

Andrade was wasted on SmackDown Live, so hopefully a move to the Red brand can allow the former NXT Champion to find his feet and reach the potential that he showed glimpses of during his time in NXT.
