Mauro Ranallo wants to see AJ Styles feud with Shinsuke Nakamura next

The two titans squared off in the ring on January 4th this year

Mauro Ranallo already has the reputation of being the best commentator in WWE right now. His play-by-play sporting style of commentary has garnered praise from the WWE fans from the very beginning of the year when he joined Smackdown, which has since become Smackdown Live.

Mauro was side-by-side with Daniel Bryan doing the colour commentary for the critically acclaimed Cruiserweight Classic series. He and Bryan got instant praise for their pairing and them working off of each other, with Mauro calling the moves while Bryan made up for his commentary shortcomings with pure passion.

Ranallo is very active on twitter, to say the least. He makes it a point to retweet or reply to every person who tweets him. He calls his retweeting as “Retweet City”. A couple of days ago, Ranallo was asked on twitter who he would like to see AJ Styles feud with next after his successful title defence at No Mercy. He said:

AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura faced off earlier this year on Wrestle Kingdom 10 in the co-main event for the IWGP Intercontinental Championship in a match that became an instant classic and Match Of The Year contender.

It was after this match that the word leaked that AJ Styles, Nakamura, Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson had all signed with WWE. Nakamura is currently the NXT Champion in a feud with Samoa Joe. Nakamura is said to be the first ever NXT talent to be getting “main event level” money.

This indicates that he may be wanted on the main roster sooner than later. It is highly possible that we get to see Shinsuke Nakamura on the main roster next year, and if he is drafted to the blue brand, then a rematch between the two is an inevitability.

However, right now it looks like AJ Styles will be involved in a short-term feud with Dean Ambrose up till at least Survivor Series.

Mauro Ranallo is a very vocal advocate for mental health, as he has been affected by Bipolar Disorder as well, and thanks to facing it had been able to tame the issue. He does a podcast with UFC Hall Of Famer Bas Rutten known as Rutten & Ranallo, which they call “The Podcast Of Positivity”. You can listen to their podcast here
