NXT TakeOver: WarGames 2019 match card predictions

NXT TakeOver: WarGames III will be taking place on November 23, 2019. So far, there have only been four matches announced. This includes an NXT Championship number one contender triple threat match featuring Damian Priest vs Killian Dain vs Pete Dunne, Finn Balor vs Matt Riddle in a grudge match, and a women's WarGames match between two teams.

One team is led by Rhea Ripley, and features Candice LeRae, Mia Yim, and Tegan Nox, while the other team is led by NXT Women's Champion Shayna Baszler, and features Bianca Belair, Io Shirai, and Kay Lee Ray. There will also be a men's WarGames match in which Tommaso Ciampa, Keith Lee, Dominik DIjakovic, and a mystery partner take the fight to The Undisputed Era.

Most WWE NXT TakeOver match cards feature five matches, but this one only features four. Therefore, there is a possibility that one more match will be added to the match card. That match will likely be a Cruiserweight Championship rematch between Lio Rush and Angel Garza.

The last encounter between both Superstars did not end cleanly, so they'll have one more match which will probably end with Rush retaining the championship.

#4: NXT Championship number one contender match: Damian Priest vs. Killian Dain vs. Pete Dunne

These three men have gotten into several brawls over the past few weeks

Pete Dunne, Damian Priest, and Killian Dain have all had issues with each other for months. This all started when Priest attacked Dunne from behind a month ago on NXT, and Dain would then get involved in this rivalry. While the Bruiserweight and the Archer of Infamy have traded victories with each other, Dain attacked both men to create a three-way feud.

Now that it has been announced that the winner of this match will get a future shot at the NXT Championship, it is somewhat obvious that Dunne will be getting the win. He is the only face in the match, and it has been proven that he and Adam Cole have great chemistry.

Final Prediction: Pete Dunne

#3: Finn Balor vs. Matt Riddle

Matt Riddle is a replacement for the injured Johnny Gargano

Had Johnny Gargano not suffered a neck injury, he undoubtedly would be facing Finn Balor at this event. This dream match was set up due to Balor's shocking heel turn where he laid out and possibly injured Gargano with a pele kick, a shotgun dropkick into the barricade, and a 1916 on the metal entrance ramp.

A few weeks later, Balor attacked Matt Riddle while he was competing in a six-man tag team match alongside Tommaso Ciampa and Keith Lee against the Original Club. Riddle called Balor out, and both men have gotten into multiple brawls since then.

While Riddle could certainly use a huge victory as a prize for being forced to step out of WarGames, this is Finn's first match since returning to NXT. He is set to become a huge star on the brand, therefore he'll likely get the victory to present himself as a top heel on NXT.

Final Prediction: Finn Balor

#2: Men's WarGames Match: Undisputed Era vs. Team Ciampa (Dominik Dijakovic, Keith Lee, Tommaso Ciampa, and a mystery partner)

Who will be the fourth member on Tommaso Ciampa's team?

Tommaso Ciampa declared that he was going to war to win back the NXT Championship several weeks ago. Since then, he has recruited Keith Lee, Matt Riddle, and Dominik Dijakovic to fight alongside him.

Unfortunately, Riddle can no longer compete in this match because he is now fighting against Finn Balor. Ciampa now needs one more Superstar to join him inside WarGames. There are several options to take the last spot, including Isaiah 'Swerve' Scott, Velveteen Dream who is returning from an injury, or John Morrison.

Given the fact that a big deal is being made about who the mystery partner is, Team Ciampa will likely get the victory. This can directly set up an NXT Championship match between Adam Cole and Ciampa.

Final Prediction: Team Ciampa

#1: Women's WarGames Match: Team Baszler (Bianca Belair, Io Shirai, Kay Lee Ray, and Shayna Baszler) vs. Team Ripley (Candice LeRae, Mia Yim, Rhea Ripley, and Tegan Nox)

This will be the first-ever all women's WarGames match

The NXT women's division is arguably at its best. They have an abundance of talent, and that's why there is going to be a WarGames match featuring some of the division's best talent.

Shayna Baszler has been a dominant NXT Women's Champion for more than a year, but it seems like her reign will soon be coming to an end. She has recruited Bianca Belair, Io Shirai, and NXT UK Women's Champion Kay Lee Ray to help her inside WarGames.

Rhea Ripley has been leading a resistance against the champion and decided to add Tegan Nox, Candice LeRae, and Mia Yim to her team.

It seems like Ripley vs. Baszler will be the next program for the NXT Women's Championship, therefore Ripley's team will likely get the victory. Unless Dakota Kai undergoes a shocking heel turn (which is unlikely), Team Ripley will be getting the win, although Kai may help them get the victory by neutralizing Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir.
