Opinion: Brock Lesnar as Mr. Money in the Bank isn't a bad idea

Mr. Money in the Bank 2019 - Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar is perhaps one of the most polarizing Superstars in the sports entertainment industry. Whenever he shows up, the ratings go up. While the Internet Wrestling Community criticizes Lesnar for being a part-timer and not maintaining his work rate, we all know what The Beast can do when he's interested in a program. His matches against AJ Styles, Daniel Bryan and Finn Balor are just a few cases to prove that. In recent times, he has been showing a different aspect of his persona after winning the Money in the Bank briefcase.

Lesnar is capable of acting aloof and can surely amuse the crowd with his antics. I mean, we all are appreciating the 'Money in the Boombox', right? This 'Brock Party' gimmick of his surely has a lot of potential. If he is supposed to hold on to the briefcase for long, we can even see Brock dancing during his matches instead of just shouting 'Suplex City'.

Brock Lesnar's aura has been protected well ever since his 2012 return. It is likely that we will see him regain the Universal Championship in the near future, especially considering that there have been quite a few unsuccessful cash-ins in the past few years.

With rumors going around that Brock Lesnar wants to retire at WrestleMania 36, he will likely savor what might be his last significant run with WWE, and the 'Brock Party' is a step in that direction. Who knows - Brock may cash in to win either the WWE or the Universal Championship at WrestleMania 36, only to retire and vacate the title thereafter.

If this gimmick doesn't work for long and WWE starts losing viewership, they can easily make Brock defend the briefcase against an up-and-coming Superstar. An interference would lead to Brock losing the contract, reverting him back to the fearsome Beast Incarnate that we know. This would also set up Brock's next feud, which could conclude at WrestleMania 36. In my opinion, Lars Sullivan must be the man for this job.

Therefore, all in all, Brock Lesnar as Mr. Money in the Bank isn't really a bad idea.
