Finn Balor is one the most hardworking superstar in the WWE right now. The Former NXT champion is currently on the red brand of WWE, where he has been completely neglected. Balor is a main event caliber superstar but ever since returning from his shoulder injury, he has been stuck in the mid-card division of Monday Night Raw.
He was one of the hottest wrestlers on the NXT brand and held the NXT Championship for 293 days which is the longest reign by any wrestler to hold the NXT title. Later when Balor debuted on Raw during the 2016 WWE draft, the hype around him was incredible and the Balor Club was in full force.
Just weeks after his debut on the main roster, Finn Balor defeated Seth Rollins at Summerslam 2016 to become the inaugural Universal Champion. But with his big win at Summerslam, the clock of bad luck started ticking for him.
Just a night after winning the Universal title, Balor had to relinquish his title due to a shoulder injury. After he returned, things had changed. For the longest time, Finn Balor never got his title rematch. Instead he got stuck in the middle card division of WWE.
Since returning from the injury, Finn has been underutilized. Due to all the big men on Raw like Roman Reigns, Braun Strowman, Drew McIntyre, and Brock Lesnar, Balor got overshadowed on Raw.
The leader of the Balor Club could surely fit much better on the Smackdown roster. There is a possibility of him having many dream matches like Balor vs Aj Styles II, Balor vs Daniel Bryan, Balor vs Rey Mysterio, Balor vs Randy Orton, etc that could surely rejuvenate his career and will give him new life in WWE.
On Raw, he has been booked in meaningless feuds. His feud with Bobby Lashley, Baron Corbin, and Drew McIntyre in recent time has felt uninspired, leading people to believe that the company has no plans for Finn Balor on Raw.
As 2019 is about to start, WWE can draft Finn Balor to Smackdown or have an exchange between the two brands. Balor will make his move to Smackdown, and instead Raw will get some else from, giving his wrestling career a new life.
