Opinion: How to get to Nia Jax vs Alexa Bliss and Asuka vs Charlotte at WrestleMania

<p>
It looks like Asuka's choice will be confirmed very soon

With WrestleMania just over a month away, we're finally starting to see some hints as to where we're heading and the card is starting to shape up. That being said, some storylines are escalating quicker than others and, well, some are progressing slightly slower.

But it seems like we're actually finally getting somewhere - so I'm going to try my best to fill in the blanks between now and WrestleMania and tell the story of how we should get to the two Women's Championship matches on the Grandest Stage of Them All.

After Asuka won the first ever Women's Royal Rumble Match in January, it should have been pretty straightforward. The guarantee of a title shot against the Women's Champion of her choice at WrestleMania saw The Empress of Tomorrow stand in the ring with both Champions.

The undefeated Superstar never got to make her choice, however, as Ronda Rousey debuted and the decision was never made. It's now been confirmed that Ronda Rousey will team up with Kurt Angle to face Triple H and Stephanie McMahon though - with the two Women's Championship matches being strongly rumoured now too.

It had previously been assumed that Asuka will face Alexa Bliss at WrestleMania on Raw, but WWE have seemingly backtracked on such statements and said that Asuka is yet to choose her opponent for WrestleMania.

The enigmatic Asuka is yet to reveal who she'll face at WrestleMania

After Nia Jax faced off against the undefeated Asuka twice for the chance to join Asuka in her assumed challenge against Bliss at WrestleMania, things finally started to accelerate on the road to WrestleMania last night on Raw when Nia Jax seemingly turned face after a courageous fight against Asuka and an incredible segment with Alexa Bliss backstage.

As of now, it seems like the logical choices for WrestleMania are Nia Jax vs Alexa Bliss and Asuka vs Charlotte.

But how do we get there?

So, the Asuka part is incredibly easy. With SmackDown-exclusive pay-per-view Fastlane scheduled for Sunday, Charlotte faces Ruby Riott for the Women's Championship on the blue brand. Asuka "still hasn't chosen" her opponent for 'Mania as we've been hearing so often.

Assuming Charlotte successfully retains, as she's celebrating in the ring, the lights go out, Asuka's mask flashes on the Tron and her music blares. The Empress of Tomorrow comes onto the ramp, stares at Charlotte and points at the WrestleMania sign. Original, eh? Well, not quite, but effective.

The Alexa Bliss vs Nia Jax angle takes a little bit more work than that, but WWE have actually been sewing the seeds of this feud for quite a while now, with the pair being best friends on screen, on Total Divas and social media - with Nia even turning on Alexa in a short-lived rivalry.

But now it's easier than ever to get to a match. If Asuka is out of the picture due to challenging Charlotte, that leaves Alexa Bliss without an opponent for WrestleMania.

After the emotional moment where Nia was able to soak in the WWE Universe's appreciation of her efforts after her match and an incredible heart-to-heart with the Raw Women's Champion Alexa Bliss - it would appear that The Irresistible Force is now a babyface.

Nia Jax and Ale

Counter this with the sudden realignment of Bliss and Mickie James, with James reverting to a heel role, and it definitely looks like we're heading for an encounter where Mickie gives Alexa the advantage of the numbers game to balance out the notable difference in size between Bliss and Jax.

Alexa Bliss is arguably one of the best heels in WWE today, maybe even the best, so it only makes sense to have her and Mickie turn on Nia at some point, but you don't even need to do that to get to the match.

With Bliss repeatedly saying several times that Nia Jax deserves to be in the match with her and Asuka, well, with Asuka gone, who deserves the match? The person who was closest to defeating her on several occasions AND the person the Champion says deserves the shot.

Those words could come back to bite Little Miss Bliss, with Nia Jax taking up the challenge.

Of course, there's still the small matter of Carmella holding the Money In The Bank briefcase on SmackDown Live, will she cash in at WrestleMania? And is it only possible for her to cash in on the blue brand's champion? I guess all will be revealed soon.
