On the recent episode of RAW, Finn Balor defeated John Cena, Drew McIntyre and Baron Corbin in a Fatal 4 Way match to become the new #1 contender and will now face Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship at the Royal Rumble. However, Finn Balor should not be the one to show up to the Royal Rumble, but instead, it should be his alter ego "The Demon" that should make his appearance at Chase Field.

Even though "The Fonz" version of Balor and "The Demon" version are essentially the same person, just with Balor being painted up, his Demon persona is one that is a more believable threat to Lesnar than his regular one. When he is the Demon, Balor is more aggressive and brutal, which he will need in order to stand a chance against Lesnar. It also fits into Vince McMahon's comments last night that he thinks Balor is good but is too small and he doesn't quite believe in him.

Imagine the reaction if Lesnar enters first and everyone is waiting for Balor, but we get a delay and then you hear the familiar heartbeat before his theme hits and he crawls to the ring in his Demon paint and gear. The roof will blow off of the stadium and you get the aurora of "The Demon" vs. "The Beast". that sounds much better than "The extraordinary Man that does Extraordinary Things."

Lesnar's recent best matches have been with smaller guys such as Daniel Bryan and AJ Styles, and there is a rumor that Lesnar wants to work with Balor. Lesnar vs. Styles and Lesnar vs. Bryan were both great matches, and fans know that when Lesnar is motivated and wants to work with someone it usually ends up in a good to great match.

Even though Balor is undefeated as The Demon on the main roster, he has been defeated in NXT as The Demon, losing to Samoa Joe at Takeover: The End. So, a loss to Lesnar, which is likely to happen, it won't hurt him much. However, in order for Balor vs. Lesnar to live up to its full potential and to be a bit more believable, Finn Balor must show up to the Royal Rumble not as himself, but as the Demon King.
