Mike and Maria Kanellis both signed with WWE in 2017 and made their debut at Money In the Bank in June 2017. Needless to say, their time with WWE has been pretty forgettable. They debuted together on SmackDown Live in 2017 and feuded with Sami Zayn.

According to Pro Wrestling Sheet, Mike and Maria Kanellis have re-signed with WWE. The length of the contracts are for 5 years. This is after Mike Bennett agreed with a fan on Twitter that WWE does not care about 205 live.

Mike Bennett sure cares about 205 Live

I think they parted ways with WWE because of the financial stability a WWE contract provides and to support their baby daughter Fredrica Moon.

Mike and Maria Kanellis belong in NXT. They do not fit in 205 Live. Mike's style of wrestling is not high flying and fast paced. He's not a cruiserweight! 205 Live does not trend like NXT does. What memorable feud have the Kanellis' had on 205 Live? I'll wait.

Right now, Mike and Maria Kanellis are in a storyline in trying to remove current General Manager Drake Maverick from his position, so Maria can take over.

Mike and Maria Kanellis could be the new Andrade and Zelina Vega pairing, if they were moved to NXT. Andrade and Zelina did pretty well in NXT. Mike Kanellis would be an instant contender for the NXT North American Championship or the NXT Championship.

There are many fresh matchups for wrestling fans to see if Mike and Maria made the jump to NXT. There's possibilities of seeing Mike Bennett vs Adam Cole, Bennett vs Johnny Gargano, Bennett vs Velveteen Dream, Bennett vs Kushida, Bennett vs Matt Riddle, and Bennett vs Keith Lee. As a bonus, we could see Mike and Maria vs Candice LaRae and Johnny Gargano in a mixed tag team match. All of these possible matchups are matchups fans would be interested in.

Mike Kanellis is too good of a talent to be on 205 live and feud with non main event superstars. He was a main eventer at his time at Impact Wrestling. He's won championships in Impact, ROH and NJPW. Thus, his move will grant the opportunity to Mike and Maria to make their mark in NXT.
