Clash of Champions is the upcoming WWE pay-per-view
Clash of Champions is the upcoming WWE pay-per-view

Clash of Champions 2019 is scheduled to take place on September 15, 2019, at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina featuring the top talents from Monday Night Raw and SmackDown Live. It is reasonable to believe that all of WWE's championships will be defended at this event.

The Universal Championship, the WWE Championship, the Raw Women's Championship, the SmackDown Women's Championship, the Intercontinental Championship, the United States Championship, the Cruiserweight Championship, the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships, the Raw Tag Team Championships, and the SmackDown Tag Team Championships are all likely to be on the line.

It has already been confirmed that we will see Braun Strowman and Seth Rollins vs. Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode for the Raw Tag Team Championships, Drew Gulak vs. Humberto Carrillo for the Cruiserweight Championship, Charlotte Flair vs. Bayley for the SmackDown Women's Championship, the King of the Ring finals, The New Day vs. The Revival for the SmackDown Tag Team Titles, Shinsuke Nakamura vs. The Miz for the Intercontinental Championship, Kofi Kingston vs. Randy Orton for the WWE Championship, and Braun Strowman vs. Seth Rollins for the Universal Championship.

Having said that, let's look at how the rest of the card may shape up:

#4 WWE Women's Tag Team Titles - Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross (c.) vs. Dana Brooke and Naomi

Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross have beaten several tag teams since becoming WWE Women's Tag Team Champions.
Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross have beaten several tag teams since becoming WWE Women's Tag Team Champions.

Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross dethroned the IIconics to become WWE Women's Tag Team Champions on an episode of Monday Night Raw in a fatal four-way tag team match that also involved Fire and Desire and the Kabuki Warriors. Since then, the two best friends have defeated the IIconics, the Kabuki Warriors, and Fire and Desire in tag team matches.

Since Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross have run through everyone in the women's tag team division, they are going to need to face off with a new tag team to defend their titles at Clash of Champions.

Both Naomi and Dana Brooke are underutilized Superstars that have not done anything of note since their participation in the women's Money in the Bank ladder match. They both are impressive, have issues with Alexa Bliss and would work well as filler challengers for the champions before they move onto bigger things.

#3 King of the Ring Finals - Andrade (with Zelina Vega) vs. Ricochet

Ricochet and Andrade are among the eight quarterfinalists in the King of the Ring Tournament.
Ricochet and Andrade are among the eight quarterfinalists in the King of the Ring Tournament.

The King of the Ring Tournament has been a tremendous success so far. In the first round, Samoa Joe defeated Cesaro, Cedric Alexander beat Sami Zayn, Andrade defeated Apollo and Elias managed to get past Kevin Owens. Additionally, Ricochet outlasted Drew McIntyre, Baron Corbin beat The Miz, Ali beat Buddy Murphy, and Chad Gable got an upset victory over Shelton Benjamin.

Out of the remaining eight Superstars in the tournament, the most likely ones to make it to the finals are Ricochet and Andrade after two of the favorites in Kevin Owens and Drew McIntyre were eliminated in the first round.

They are two of the company's brightest stars and have a lot of potential in the future. A victory for either of these Superstars will catapult them to the main event scene.

#2 United States Championship - AJ Styles (c.) vs. Rey Mysterio

AJ Styles and Rey Mysterio have never faced off with each other in a singles match.
AJ Styles and Rey Mysterio have never faced off with each other in a singles match.

Given the fact that AJ Styles' feud with Ricochet abruptly ended as the latter will likely be making it to the finals of the King of the Ring tournament, he is going to need a new challenger to start a rivalry with. While other Superstars like Cedric Alexander, Cesaro, and even Drew McIntyre would be good options, the best option would be for AJ Styles to face Rey Mysterio.

AJ Styles and Rey Mysterio have only ever faced off with each other at 5 Star Wrestling and in multi-man matches on SmackDown Live and Monday Night Raw. This would be a dream match, and it would be perfect for Rey Mysterio to try to win the United States Championship back that he was forced to relinquish earlier this year after suffering an injury.

#1 Raw Women's Championship - Becky Lynch vs. Sasha Banks

Sasha Banks recently made her shocking return to Monday Night Raw.
Sasha Banks recently made her shocking return to Monday Night Raw.

On the Monday Night Raw after SummerSlam, Sasha Banks shockingly attacked Natalya when she was paying tribute to her father, Jim 'The Anvil' Neidhart. Becky Lynch then came to her rescue. Sasha Banks would proceed to beat up Becky Lynch with a chair.

Becky Lynch would deliver a scathing promo against Sasha Banks a week after that in which she said that Banks was the greatest Superstar to never be great. Sasha Banks recently explained her actions to the WWE Universe and was upset that Becky Lynch got to main event WrestleMania while she was stuck defending the WWE Women's Tag Team Titles.

She would then defeat Natalya to establish herself as the number one contender to the Raw Women's Championship. This rivalry will likely only begin at Clash of Champions and span over several pay-per-views.
