RAW before WWE SummerSlam 2019: 4 Major Predictions for the show

We are less than a week away from the Biggest Party of the Summer, WWE SummerSlam 2019. The last big stop for the red brand before the event takes place tonight as the go-home episode of RAW for the PPV will come to us live from the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, PA.

The build-up for the second biggest PPV of the year has been good so far, and WWE would want to take it to the next level by making some major last-minute changes and addition to the card. Expect at least a couple of matches to be announced for the show on RAW tonight.

Let's take a look at the four major predictions for the RAW before SummerSlam. Feel free to share your thoughts and views in the comments section below.

#4 Carmella wins the 24/7 Championship

The 24/7 title has been one of the best parts of WWE Programming for the last couple of months. While many (including myself) were not initially excited about the title being introduced, WWE writers have done an incredible job to make these segments hilarious and must-see.

Last week we saw a pregnant Maria Kanellis win the title by ordering her husband, Mike, to lay down for her. In a very funny moment, she mocked all the wrestlers backstage, showing them the title, knowing none of them would attack a pregnant woman.

Now, the biggest question in everyone's mind is - who will pin her to win the 24/7 title?

I believe this is a great opportunity for R-Truth's partner-in-crime Carmella to win her first 24/7 championship. There was a lot of discussion among fans as to why Carmella was not trying to win the title from Truth instead of protecting him. With a handful of ladies winning the title in the last few weeks, there's no reason why she can't be the next champion.

It would be hilarious to see the reaction of Truth when he realizes that his partner is the one from whom he has to get back his "baby". Will we see them reversing roles with Truth protecting Carmella this time? Or will the two clash off to decide who the true champion is?

The possibilities are endless and WWE will want to make full use of these segments.

#3 Roman Reigns gets attacked again

Who's behind the attack?
Who's behind the attack?

One of the biggest talking points from last week's WWE programming was the mystery attack on Roman Reigns at the end of SmackDown. With the entire IWC guessing who the attacker could be, WWE might just tease us a little more with yet another attack on the Big Dog on RAW.

Check out the tweets Reigns sent yesterday -

WWE is trying to tell a story where Reigns does not have any direct suspicion on anyone for the attack, which would make yet another attack on him even more impactful. The Big Dog will most likely be on the show and have some match alongside The Usos and Cedric Alexander.

We might see someone attack him just before his match and leave him cold and out in the backstage area. WWE can then build upon this and reveal the attacker the next night on SmackDown. The top contenders, as per the talk of the town, are Daniel Bryan, and maybe Buddy Murphy.

#2 Goldberg returns to set up a match with Ziggler

Who's next?
Who's next?

Dolph Ziggler has been taking shots at legends with each passing week. Recently, we saw him superkick Shawn Michaels, but if you observe closely, he has also been targeting Goldberg for the last several weeks.

Earlier, rumors suggested that WWE is planning to change Ziggler vs The Miz to an impromptu match between Ziggler and Goldberg at SummerSlam, but the even more recent news is that the match might be announced tonight itself on RAW.

There's no doubt that the former WCW World Champion would add a lot of star power to the card, and would also be a nice surprise for the casual fans to see him perform again. While he was criticized for his match against The Undertaker at Super Showdown, Ziggler has enough potential to carry the match and make Goldberg look strong.

It has to be seen though whether the Hall of Famer shows up tonight himself or not.

#1 Special stipulation added to SummerSlam main event

Last week we saw one of the most brutal beat downs in recent memory, when the Beast broke loose and destroyed Seth Rollins. The Universal Championship match at SummerSlam has all-of-a-sudden become a huge deal and fans are excited to see where the story head next.

With WWE sending out a tweet indicating Rollins' request to not disclose his medical condition after the attack, it seems that 'The Beastslayer' has something huge in his mind. There's no way Rollins would back down from a fight after his decimation at the hands of Brock Lesnar last week.

Considering their previous history, and how he won the Universal Title at WrestleMania, Rollins might just challenge Lesnar to turn their match at SummerSlam into a No Disqualification fight. That's how the main event should be - high stakes, high drama!

Another interesting stipulation to add to the match would be a special guest referee, with someone like Braun Strowman being a great candidate for the job.
