The Queen, Ric Flair’s daughter – Charlotte Flair

Ric Flair’s daughter, Charlotte Flair, did get into the business after having a conversation with WWE Head of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis.

While the fact that she is Ric Flair’s daughter did help her get into the business, it must be noted that a lot of the criticism she gets about reaching the levels she did being due to her last name are not fully true. Ric Flair has not trained his daughter for a day in his life.

However, there is a lot more about Ric Flair’s daughter Charlotte that we do not know about. She is 30 years old, has had a long career and has done a wide variety of things. Let’s take a look at 5 things that you probably don’t know about The Genetically Superior one.

#1 She was arrested in 2008

Charlotte was arrested in 2008 after having assaulted a police officer. She was sentenced to 45 days prison but that was later reduced to supervised probation and a 200$ fine.

The incident happened when her neighbours called the police after a fight involving herself, her then-partner Riki Johnson and Ric Flair broke out. You can see a mugshot of Charlotte above.

Special Mention: She brought Randy Savage to school for show-and-tell

A rather unique show-and-tell

The perks of being Ric Flair’s daughter. On his old podcast titled WOOOOO! Nation, Ric Flair had his daughter Charlotte on it, and they spoke all things past, present and future. She mentioned that she once brought The Macho Man Randy Savage for a school show and tell. Now, dig that!

#2 She has only been wrestling for 3 years

Charlotte is a late bloomer but has picked up fast. She signed a WWE developmental contract on May 17th, 2012. She did not wrestle a match until a year later and made her televised debut exactly 14 months after she joined, where she debuted against Bayley in a victorious effort.

She won the NXT Women's Championship in early May 2014, the Divas Championship in September 2015, and the Women's Championship in 2016. She is on the verge of making history when she enters the historic Hell In A Cell.

She has improved drastically in the ring and character-wise, and many consider her to be the star of the women's division. Flair himself called Charlotte a far superior athlete than he ever was, and also said that she was one of the few people who picked up the business extremely fast, with the other one picking it up as fast being the legendary Kurt Angle.

Ric Flair is a four-time divorcee. Charlotte herself is a two-time divorcee.

She married Riki Johnson in May 2010. The marriage was, however, short-lived. Not to mention, she and Johnson were involved in a case in 2008 where she had to plead guilty(which we will get to next).

She later married Thomas Latimer in 2013. Latimer was known as Kenneth Cameron in NXT and now wrestles under the name of Bram in TNA. They got divorced on October 29th, 2015. Bram was also involved in a domestic violence case after that.

#4 She was part of Triple H’s Wrestlemania XXX entrance

Sasha Banks, Alexa Bliss, and Charlotte

This is perhaps the most known one on the list, but this is still something some people tend to miss. Wrestlemania XXX was centred around Daniel Bryan’s underdog uphill battle to the top. He first had to go through The Game Triple H in order to get to the main event World title match the same night.

Triple H is known for having some of the most iconic Wrestlemania entrances of all time. On that beautiful night in New Orleans, he went with the “King of Kings” themed entrance, and he decided to have 3 ladies as part of the entrance.

As Sasha Banks herself said, he could have simply hired models, but instead, he chose her, Alexa Bliss and Charlotte to be part of the entrance in order to have a Wrestlemania experience. It was the 3 women’s first experience at Wrestlemania.

Charlotte and Sasha would have their first Wrestlemania match two years later, and Alexa Bliss will likely have hers next year.

Charlotte, in Ric Flair’s own admission, is far superior an athlete than he ever was

Charlotte was a certified personal trainer before signing with WWE in 2012. She worked at Ciarla Fitness in the Ballantyne neighbourhood of Charlotte, North Carolina, where she worked at until she got her contract with WWE in 2012. Ciarla fitness has closed down since.

She was also the captain of her Providence High Volleyball team from 2004-05. She helped her team get to the State Championships.

Charlotte was also a gymnast from her childhood. She posted a throwback photo from her school days as a gymnast, claiming that she still uses the skills that she learnt back then:

When The Queen claims she is Genetically Superior, it is not just some catch phrase she uses on television!

Ric Flair and his daughter Charlotte shared a segment together on WWE Raw on May 23 2016. During the episode, Ric Flair congratulated his daughter on her remarkable achievements and for winning the WWE Women's Championship at Wrestlemania. However, Charlotte shocked the audience by asking Ric Flair to leave her ring. She complained that her father was never there when she was a kid and said he can now watch her on TV like she watched Ric Flair when she was a kid. The veteran WWE star left the ring in tears and even that didn’t stop Charlotte as she sang ‘Goodbye’ to her emotional father.

Besides Charlotte, Ric Flair has two other children. He had a son named Reid Flair who sadly passed away in 2013 due to accidental overdose. Ric Flair’s eldest son, David Flair, was part of WWE, WCW and TNA but never found his feet in any of these promotons.
