As noted before, Roman Reigns made his surprise return after completing the 30 days suspension during a WWE Live Event last night, and made his in-ring return on tonight’s Event.Reigns faced the former Intercontinental Champion Kevin Owens in a one on one match.As seen in the below tweets made by fans in attendance, Reigns won the match by hitting a SUperman Punch after he blocked a Pop-up power bomb from Owens and delivered a Spear to follow that up.
Reigns also cut a promo following his victory saying that he hopes his Brothers are ready for him, As seen in the below video:
It's notable here that there were lots of rumors surrounding Reigns' return stating that WWE may turn him heel following his suspension to deal with fan backlash, but since he appeared as a face on both the Live Events, it’s most likely that he'll be heading into Battleground as one.Roman Reigns will face his former teammates Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose for the WWE Championship on Battleground.
