With WrestleMania less than three months away, we decided to take an early look at some of the WrestleMania rumors that have been doing the rounds.

We take a look at a rumor of WWE possibly putting Brock Lesnar in a triple threat match, as well as possible opponents for Roman Reigns, among various other rumors on the Road to WrestleMania 37.

#5 WWE is considering a triple threat match involving Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 37, although no plans are final yet

Last month, it was rumored that WWE was considering a big match for WrestleMania. The match itself was a potential triple threat clash between WWE Champion Drew McIntyre, Brock Lesnar, and Keith Lee. The story was reported by WrestleVotes:

WM: Source stressed nothing is close to official or concrete, but as a working idea the following is what’s being considered: Reigns vs Goldberg, Edge vs Orton & an interesting twist: McIntyre vs Lesnar vs Keith Lee. Lots of variables in play, especially the attendance factor.

Brock Lesnar has been one of the most dominant Superstars in recent years and it would be interesting to see him in triple threat action once again.

Brock Lesnar was released by WWE last year after his contract expired without both parties being unable to come to terms on a new deal. Lesnar’s merchandise was also removed from the WWE Shop. The Beast Incarnate's last match in WWE was at WrestleMania 36 where he lost the WWE Championship to Drew McIntyre.

A recent report from Dave Meltzer suggests that plans for the main event of WrestleMania from the RAW side are yet to be finalized:

The reason there has been no television direction for the main matches at Mania and you don’t hear anything about them is because there isn’t any. The only thing we know is the top Raw championship matches are not locked in.

With WrestleMania less than three months away, it looks like WWE is yet to finalize plans for most of the matches on The Show of Shows.

#4 There have been rumors on possible opponents for Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 37

Fans don’t know yet who Roman Reigns will be facing at WrestleMania. But that’s not a surprise, given that The Show of Shows is still more than a couple of months away. However, there have been some rumors regarding the potential opponents for Roman Reigns.

In a recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer gave his take on who Reigns could face at WrestleMania 37. He gave an update on Daniel Bryan and Shinsuke Nakamura's status as possible opponents for the Tribal Chief:

On Smackdown, Reigns has two different opponents that are being considered so Bryan is not a lock and at least as of this past week, Nakamura was not one of the two under consideration as of last week, even after the gauntlet

There were rumors last year that Daniel Bryan could be facing Roman Reigns at the Royal Rumble. However, Daniel Bryan ended up declaring himself for the Royal Rumble match instead. As for Nakamura, he looked set to win the gauntlet match on SmackDown until Roman Reigns and Jey Uso attacked The King of Strong Style and forced Adam Pearce to pin him for the victory.

As of this writing, The Tribal Chief is slated to face Kevin Owens at Royal Rumble 2021.

#3 WWE could allow up to 25,000 fans on each night of WrestleMania

According to a new report from WrestleVotes, it looks like fans may attend WrestleMania. The report says that WWE wants a capacity of 25,000 fans during each night of WrestleMania. The report also stated that WWE officials were having internal discussions about what to do with the touring schedule after WrestleMania:

WWE is planning on permitting upwards of 25,000 fans for WrestleMania on each night. The real internal discussions are what to do after. Some would like a soft 'reopening' of the touring schedule for Live TVs as continuing the ThunderDome post Mania comes with location headaches.

In a recent interview with TMZ, Stephanie McMahon confirmed that WWE will have fans at WrestleMania, although no specific number has been officially announced. Here’s what Stephanie McMahon said when asked if WWE would allow fans to attend WrestleMania 37:

That’s the current plan. Of course, ticket information is not available yet cause we’re still trying to figure out all the machinations.

WWE released a special WrestleMania video update last week, hosted by Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. The video included a few announcements for this year’s WrestleMania as well as details regarding WrestleMania 38 and WrestleMania 39.

WrestleMania 37 will take place later this year on April 10th and 11th from the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. WrestleMania 38 will take place from the AT&T Stadium Arlington, Texas on April 3, 2022. In 2023, WrestleMania 39 will emanate from the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, California.

In a recent interview with The Wrap, Stephanie McMahon opened up about why WWE decided to announce the details of three WrestleManias together:

It just helps everybody. It helps us for planning purposes, it helps our fans plan their trips, it helps in so many different capacities. And now we can really work with all of our partners across the board in all of these major cities and really blow everything out as big as we possibly can. Also, during this time, I think people need hope and I think you need something to look forward to.

#1 WWE has big plans for WrestleMania 37 including a potential virtual Hall of Fame ceremony

WrestleMania 37, as recently announced, will take place over two nights on the 10th and 11th of April. The show will take place at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. Reports suggest that each night of the show will be around three to three and a half hours.

According to a report from PWInsider, WWE has big plans for WrestleMania including a virtual Hall of Fame ceremony. We don’t have any official details on a Hall of Fame ceremony from WWE yet, but this could definitely be something that may take place in the near future. The report does state that the virtual Hall of Fame ceremony is “not 100% locked in” as of now. The PWInsider report also indicates that each night of WrestleMania will be broadcasted at 7 p.m. EST. According to the report, there will be no Kickoff show at the aforementioned event this year.

WWE’s primary focus right now seems to be regarding the safety of fans:

The company's primary goal right now is figuring out how to undertake letting fans attend safely and until the company's directives in that regard are decided upon, nothing else is official.

SK Wrestling will provide further details regarding WrestleMania 37 when available.
