WWE News: Samoa Joe Moves to SmackDown Live

JOE! JOE! JOE! JOE!
JOE! JOE! JOE! JOE!

What's the Story?

In the biggest shock of the Superstar Shakeup, Samoa Joe was traded from Monday Night Raw to SmackDown Live.

Along with Jeff Hardy, this is a massive get for the main event and mid card of the Blue Brand.

In case you didn't know

Joe debuted on the main roster in 2017 as a henchman for Triple H. He remained exclusive to the Raw brand during this time and faced a variety of opponents including Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns and the Universal Champion Brock Lesnar.

The heart of the matter

In the fourth pick of the night, The Samoan Submission Machine made his way to the ring and made short work of Sin Cara before declaring his intentions for the members of the SmackDown roster.

Joe singled out Daniel Bryan, Randy Orton and WWE Champion AJ Styles as wrestlers he would be looking to eliminate in the coming months,

Despite calling out former opponents and ROH alumni in Styles and Bryan, Joe kept his focus on Reigns and their upcoming match.

The Samoan wrestlers are still scheduled to face each other at Backlash, which will be the first inter-promotional match following the Greatest Royal Rumble.

The Big Dog is scheduled to face Lesnar in a Steel Cage for the Universal Championship, but Joe said he would be ready to be his first challenger should he be successful.

What's next?

Joe isn't currently scheduled for a match at the Greatest Royal Rumble, so expect the former NXT Champion to be added to the 50-Man Rumble match on the show.

It goes without saying that Joe is popular, but it is doubtful that he'd be in the running to win the match.
