Two-time and the current NXT Women's Champion, Shayna Baszler, was recently interviewed by Newsweek following the NXT invasion on RAW and SmackDown. The Queen of Spades discussed why she mentioned Ronda Rousey during her promo against Becky Lynch and also shared her experience of appearing on the main roster of WWE, among other topics.

This year's Survivor Series will be the first time when NXT squares off against RAW and SmackDown to establish brand supremacy. The black-and-gold brand didn't waste any time to prove their dominance as the NXT talents invaded both the main roster shows this past week.
The NXT Women's Champion Shayna Baszler was one of those Superstars and she reflected on the same while talking to Newsweek.
It's what every athlete in any sport dreams about. Us getting called and showing up on SmackDown is the equivalent in our world of the pinch hitter getting called in the ninth inning with a 3-2 count with two outs and is asked to deliver. Or the starting quarterback goes down and we have to go in there and put together a game-winning drive. This is everything that you dream about when you're doing sports. It was pretty wild. Women's WarGames match
Before she faces Becky Lynch and Bayley at Survivor Series, Shayna Baszler will have to settle her scores with Rhea Ripley and her team in the first-ever women's WarGames match. Io Shirai, Bianca Belair, and one other female NXT talent will join The Queen of Spades to even up the odds.
Shayna Baszler mentioned how she has been an active part of several historic moments throughout her professional career and being in the WarGames match will just add to that.
It's just crazy because you hear these mumblings of "when is Shayna going to RAW or SmackDown," but I'm so thankful that I haven't because when the women's War Games match was announced you saw a bunch of former NXT women superstars tweeting that they wish to be a part of it or saying, "Hey I'm available for this match." And I'm glad that I'm here being a part of it and not saying, "man I wish I was a part of that." I'm a part of all this stuff right now and it's crazy. It's a really cool time to be a part of it the way that I am.
NXT TakeOver: WarGames 2019 takes place just the night before Survivor Series and will be the first event to feature two WarGames matches.
