Tonight's episode of WWE SmackDown came to us live from the Legacy Arena in Birmingham, Alabama. The show opened with a tense match between Roman Reigns and Robert Roode which The Big Dog won.

Before the next match of the night between Mustafa Ali and Drew Gulak took place, the cameras panned to an area in the backstage. It showed a dark silhouette of a man walking his way towards the camera and later it was revealed to be WWE Superstar Sheamus who has been away from WWE television for a long time.

The Celtic Warrior is coming to the Blue Brand

We last saw Sheamus in the post-WrestleMania SmackDown episode where he suffered a concussion in a match against The New Day. After that, he was sidelined from active competition and his tag-team partner Cesaro was drafted to RAW as a part of the 2019 WWE Draft.

Cesaro later confirmed that their tag-team, The Bar has officially been disbanded. Tonight's episode of SmackDown saw Sheamus announcing his return to SmackDown and he was shown to ditch his earlier Warhawk hairstyle and sported his older hair-do.

Now I've had a lot of time to sit back and watch them lay the land and the current state of SmackDown is...pathetic. All I see are a bunch of misfits and cowards. A Fiend, a King, a Shorty G or whatever the hell that is. No one hungry, no one with a backbone and no one like me. SmackDown has been soft and this now is the perfect time for The Celtic Warrior to return and ravage everything and everyone who stands in my way. SmackDown will be mine.

The former World Champion made the above statement in the video package where he criticized the current roster of SmackDown and proclaimed that he will make SmackDown his own.
