Possible Outcomes For Survivor Series 2018

Survivor Series 2018
Survivor Series 2018

Survivor Series is right around the corner, and we couldn't be any more excited about it! Daniel Bryan is the new WWE Champion, defeating Styles in the main event of Smackdown Live. Even though AJ Styles is no longer the champ that runs the camp, would most fans complain if we got AJ vs Brock for the second year in a row?

Charlotte Flair has officially replaced Becky Lynch in her match against Raw Women's Champion Ronda Rousey. Though the match was highly anticipated from the start, Charlotte vs Ronda looks to be an amazing outcome, shifting our focus from an unfortunate injury.

The Raw Men's team looks ready to take on the blue side, especially with Strowman in their corner. The rest of the card makes for a promising event full of excitement and it will surely be a night to remember. Let's get into some predictions, shall we?

#8 5 on 5 Tag Team Elimination Match

It doesn't seem like anyone is meant to care.
It doesn't seem like anyone is meant to care.

So, on one side you have Bobby Roode and Chad Gable, The Ascension, The B Team, The Revival, and Lucha House Party. On Smackdown's team, you have The New Day, The Usos, The Good Brothers, Sanity, and the Colons. Honestly, it doesn't seem like anyone is meant to care. The classic 5 on 5 match is great for the men, maybe even the women too.

But the tag team division in the 5 on 5 format just doesn't work as well. The main roster tag team division isn't at it's strongest point. They don't feel important with the way they are booked. So, the same energy being put into these teams by Creative is the same energy being reciprocated by the fans.

But nevertheless, let's get into this match. Raw's side has some good teams in Roode and Gable and The Revival. But Smackdown for the win, simply because the tag teams feel a little more important on the blue brand. On top of that, Smackdown's side seems to gel more as a unit. As opposed to just being a good stand-alone teams. If you aren't meant to care about something, there's no reason why you should root for it. Plain and simple.

Prediction: Smackdown Live wins

#7 Buddy Murphy (C) vs Mustafa Ali for the Cruiserweight Championship

The Cruiserweight title is on th
The Cruiserweight title is on the line

Considering the agility of Cruiserweights in general, this could potentially be the match of the night. Murphy defeated Cedric Alexander to become the new Cruiserweight Champion at Super Show-Down back in October. A champion's work is never done so he'll be looking to prove that his win against Alexander wasn't a fluke.

Mustafa Ali also faced Alexander but failed to capture the gold on the Wrestlemania pre-show in April. So he's looking to prove himself a worthy contender this time and try his best to get the win. Fresh off a win against Tony Nese on 205 Live, he's pumped and ready to go.

Both have something to prove. Murphy wants to cement his name as champion, Ali would like to finally get his hands on the gold, but it wouldn't be smart to take the belt off of Murphy just yet. Your day is coming Mustafa Ali, just you wait!

Prediction: Murphy retains

#6 Seth Rollins (IC Champion) vs Shinsuke Nakamura (US Champion)

5 Star Match?
5 Star Match?

Now, you can clearly see why both guys could pick up the win here. Seth could pull a 5-star match out of Nakamura. His last great match was against AJ Styles in the Last Man Standing match at MITB. Plus, he's not around much these days so it'll be good to see him put in work.

Or, Nakamura could do what he does best now, which is going for a low blow and do the whole "heel" thing. Either way, it will be great to see Nakamura go head to head with The Architect for the first time ever. This bout could go for match of the night as well but is highly doubted.

Also, Seth Rollins is currently in a program with The Lunatic Fringe, Dean Ambrose. He is not on the card for Survivor Series so he could show up and cost Seth the match. Us fans would love to see Seth and Nakamura put on an absolute slobber knocker. But for reasons mentioned previously, Nakamura should win here, but definitely not clean.

Prediction: Nakamura cheats to win/ Dean costs Seth the match

#5 Authors of Pain (Raw Tag Team Champions) vs The Bar (Smackdown Tag Team Champions)

Both are the best of their respective brands
Both are the best of their respective brands

Both of these teams are extremely solid as units. Both are on the same page and have proved to be the best of their respective brands. With Big Show seemingly forming an alliance with The Bar, he could play a part in this match as well. He could even pose as a threat to Akam and Rezar.

This is a match that not many are looking forward to, but should. AOP's ability to decimate their opponents could be met with The Bar's unity as a team and with Big Show in their corner. This match could be more entertaining than any of us expect, we just have to wait and see.

Overall, AOP's size and brute strength could prove to be too much for The Bar. Or could it? Sheamus and Cesaro could pull through and get the victory, and bring that amazing accolade back to the blue side. Realistically though, the Author's of Pain are the victors here. They will most likely run through The Bar effortlessly.

Prediction: AOP for the win

#4 Women's 5 on 5 Elimination Match

Who's in the last slot?
Who's in the last slot?

Raw's team consists of Mickie James, Nia Jax, Natalya, Tamina, and Ruby Riott. On the blue side, we have Carmella, Asuka, Naomi, Sonya Deville, and TBA. This match is a bit of a wild card. Charlotte was in the last slot before replacing Becky Lynch in her match against Raw Women's Champion Ronda Rousey. So whoever will fill the last slot could either be helpful or hurtful to the Smackdown side of things.

Nia Jax and Tamina will definitely be harder to eliminate than anyone else on the Raw side. Also, Natalya can hold her on in a ring for sure. Mickie James brings experience to this fight, no doubt about it. On top of that, Ruby Riott has shown she can be a team player with the Riott Squad.

It looks like Asuka is the blue brand's only hope for this Sunday. Don't get me wrong, Naomi is extremely talented, but sometimes I just don't feel the glow. Carmella and Deville are good at best, and whoever is in that last slot has to bring their A game.

Prediction: Raw wins (With Jax or Tamina being that last one standing)

#3 Brock Lesnar (Universal Champion) vs Daniel Bryan (WWE Champion)

Will Daniel Bryan conquer the Beast?
Will Daniel Bryan conquer the Beast?

The Beast Incarnate is set to take on Daniel Bryan this Sunday at Survivor Series in what was supposed to be a repeat of last year with AJ. While Bryan isn't exactly the babyface that we thought he would be, this is still a very refreshing scenario with both men currently being heels.

They could go the easy route and have Brock completely squash Daniel. But since he is now a heel, I don't see him going down without a low blow or something to give him the upper hand in this match. Brock is the type of heel that doesn't have to cheat because his strength and power could just decimate you anyway. But Bryan wasn't exactly blessed with the figure of a monster. So he will definitely cheat in this match.

Most would like to see somewhat of a repeat of last year. Styles had Lesnar limping out of the arena and everyone knows that Bryan is more than capable of making that happen as well. But for reasons stated earlier, he will more than likely use underhanded tactics to try and get the win. But then again, he is Brock Lesnar so whenever they choose to make him unstoppable, he will be.

Prediction: Brock gets the win, but gets destroyed technically

#2 Ronda Rousey (Raw Women's Champion) vs Charlotte Flair

Who will make who tap?
Who will make who tap?

Becky Lynch vs Ronda Rousey became the most anticipated match on this year's card. That in itself is a testament to how good Becky Lynch is, or how good they can let her be. She went from being another face in the crowd to being the most talked about woman on Smackdown Live. But due to injuries, Lynch was replaced with Charlotte Flair in what is still expected to bring down the house on Sunday.

Though Rousey is still a bit green in the ring, she has done great so far showing that she can take to this profession. But is she as good as Flair? That's quite the stretch. But then again, Rousey's area of expertise is submissions. That just so happens to be Flair's area as well with the Figure 8. It will be interesting to see them soften each other up, trying to jockey for position.

Even if Rousey wins here, she won't have gotten full satisfaction because her original opponent was replaced. We can only hope for a future Lynch vs Rousey match at this point. But as stated, this is still sure to be an amazing match. You won't want to miss it. Since Charlotte is the bigger woman, and the more experienced of the two, Charlotte for the win!

Prediction: Charlotte Flair wins

#1 Men's 5 on 5 Elimination Match

Can the blue brand survive what is coming?

Finally, the traditional 5 on 5 elimination match. On one side you have Braun Strowman, Drew McIntyre, Dolph Ziggler, Finn Balor, and Bobby Lashley. On the other, you have Shane McMahon, The Miz, Rey Mysterio, Jeff Hardy and Samoa Joe. Something that doesn't really make sense here is that Samoa Joe defeated Jeff Hardy to join Team Smackdown. But Jeff is now on Team Smackdown.

Granted, Daniel Bryan got taken out because he is the new WWE Champion, but still. Team Smackdown honestly looks inferior compared to Team Raw. Strowman, McIntyre, and Lashley pose a huge threat because they have power and use it well. Ziggler and Balor have proven time and time again that they can give their opponents a run for their money.

Rey, Jeff, and Shane bring that seasoned experience to the table, not to mention their individual strengths. Samoa Joe is just a monster all together, but can he hold his own against Strowman? The Miz can put on a classic when he wants to, but this match will not go in his favour as he is one of the smaller men. It's hard to see him contributing anything meaningful to this match with the brute strength on the other side.

Prediction: Team Raw wins (Braun Strowman is the last one standing)
