Survivor Series 2019: 5 Betrayals that could shake up the WWE product

All of these twists could make the show very interesting
All of these twists could make the show very interesting

One of the things that we must remember is that after WWE Survivor Series is done, the men and women of a given brand will go back to wrestling competitors within their own brand. This is why they may choose to make a statement at Survivor Series by betraying a member of their own brand!

And this is not confined to the traditional Survivor Series matches alone, ladies and gentlemen. Every match could have a betrayal in the form of a heel or face turn that leaves the audience amazed.

With that said, in this article, my objective will be to alert you with regard to the betrayals you could potentially see during the show. Keep an eye out for them, because if they happen, they could significantly alter the landscape of WWE.

#5 Randy Orton turns on Team RAW

Randy Orton and Ricochet may be on the same page for the time being, but Randy Orton did say that he does what he wants. And if on the day of Survivor Series, he does not feel like being a team player, he probably will not be one!

So an RKO or two could follow to Ricochet and these two men could potentially feud leading all the way to 2020, in my personal estimation. Randy Orton needs a strong opponent to battle and Ricochet fits the bill just perfectly, I think. I've also interviewed Ricochet in the past and he's told me that he wants to take on Randy Orton, at a stage like WrestleMania.

Over the years, we've seen a wide variety of WWE Superstars take the RKO in creative ways. If Ricochet is involved, one can rest assured that we're going to see a lot more innovative RKOs!

#4 Cain Velasquez turns on Rey Mysterio

Cain Velasquez came up short against Brock Lesnar in his debut outing and if he were to make a return, I would assume that he would want a trustworthy dance partner to wrestle against. The ideal candidate for such a role is certainly Rey Mysterio, someone who is close to the man in real life. Rey Mysterio can wrestle against anyone and make it look good. And so, the best course of action may be to have Cain Velasquez turn heel.

Now, we know that there's a 'No Holds Barred' stipulation at Survivor Series for the match between Rey Mysterio and Brock Lesnar. One assumes that someone like Mysterio's son will come and interfere in the match to help the ultimate underdog defeat The Beast Incarnate. But what if the actual truth of the matter is that this is a match that is going to be used to set up a heel turn for Cain Velasquez to push him into a feud with Rey Mysterio in the months that will follow?

If this is the case, it will certainly make for a very interesting talking point from Survivor Series 2019.

#3 Kevin Owens turns on Team RAW

If you actually go to think about it, when Triple H confronted Kevin Owens, everything he said did actually make a lot of sense, didn't it? The RAW roster is extremely crowded right now and Owens' edgy attitude may make a lot of sense in the current setup of NXT.

I know that you guys may think that him turning his back on RAW will make him a heel, something that WWE shouldn't do with Owens as he's one of the few Superstars on the red brand who's still incredibly over with the fans. But if Kevin Owens were to deliver a Stunner to say, Drew McIntyre, and join Team NXT, does he really become a heel or continue to remain a babyface, dear reader?

NXT needs a star like him to be the anchor for the brand because Finn Balor alone can only do so much. And it's going to be a while before Kevin Owens gets a shot at Brock Lesnar and even if he does, could we ever possibly imagine him defeating The Beast Incarnate clean?

But will this betrayal happen? I guess we'll have to just find out!

#2 Sasha Banks turns on Bayley

What's wrong with the picture that's been shared above? The fact is that Sasha Banks is in the background as a sidekick and we all know that she's a lot more Walter White than Jesse Pinkman. I'm honestly surprised that she's even managed to play second-fiddle to Bayley for so very long, thus far!

So, when Bayley takes on Becky Lynch and Shayna Baszler, what if Sasha Banks, her corner-woman manages to shock her by costing her this big match? It would take us into Sasha Banks vs. Bayley, something we know that both women want, following their incredible match in NXT which put women's wrestling on the map! As much as we love the women on the SmackDown roster, we know that the money feud is really Sasha Banks vs. Bayley, the two best performers in the women's division!

If you consider Sasha Banks' character arc thus far and everything Corey Graves keeps saying about her, you will realize that such a swerve makes all the sense in the world.

#1 King Corbin turns on Roman Reigns

You don't have to be a genius or indeed an oracle to see this swerve coming, ladies and gentlemen. Baron Corbin and Roman Reigns are knee-deep in the midst of a feud at the moment so if there is no animosity between the two men, I would be quite surprised indeed!

I have a feeling that while King Corbin may pretend to coexist at the beginning, he will revert to his sleazy, heel-ish self mid-way through the match when it seems like Roman Reigns is on the verge of picking up a big victory. And in doing so, he could end up giving Team RAW a big advantage.

Maybe the man in the dog costume is hired by Corbin to take Roman Reigns down. That's yet another creative way of booking a betrayal, and it would make sense given how the feud has been booked thus far by the company.

I don't think there's any way at all that these two men can coexist during the Survivor Series match.
