What's the story?

On Friday afternoon, The Miz announced on Twitter that The New Day will reveal who will represent them in the Money In The Bank Ladder Match on this Tuesday's edition of Miz TV on SmackDown Live.

In case you didn't know...

Money In The Bank started off as a WrestleMania tradition before becoming its own pay per view.

The match debuted at WrestleMania 21 when Edge defeated Chris Benoit, Chris Jericho, Shelton Benjamin, Kane, and Christian.

The heart of the matter...

The New Day's Xavier Woods and Big E took on The Bar (Sheamus and Cesaro) in a tag team match this week when SmackDown Live was in the United Kingdom.

The winning team would get to choose a representative to join the eight-man field for the Money In The Bank Ladder Match.

Thanks to a flying elbow drop off of the top rope from Woods, The New Day gets to be represented in a match where whoever pulls down the briefcase can cash it in for a WWE Championship opportunity any time within the next 365 days.

Take a look at Miz's tweet from Friday afternoon below:

Interestingly enough, The Miz says that we'll find out which member of The New Day joins "his" match as he is qualified along with Braun Strowman, Finn Balor, Kevin Owens, Bobby Roode, Rusev, and the winner of a match between Samoa Joe and Big Cass on SmackDown Live this week.

What's next?

After this week's edition of SmackDown Live; which takes place at the DCU Center in Worcester, Massachusetts, we'll know the entire field of eight that will make up the men's Money In The Bank Ladder Match.

Author's take...

I've heard rumors that the WWE is finally looking to push Big E in singles competition; while keeping The New Day together with Kofi Kingston and Woods working as a tag team. That is something I've been asking for a long time now.

With that said I fully expect Big E to be the one chosen to represent The New Day. My second choice is Woods as he got the pinfall in the qualifying match and has done a great job in the ring this year.
