The Elimination Chamber is called as the ‘Belly of the beast’ and not without any reason. It is a demonic structure that has gotten the better of even the best WWE superstars. Here are some interesting statistics about the Elimination Chamber match:
1. Most Appearances in an Elimination Chamber match – Chris Jericho (7)
Chris Jericho tops this list handsomely with 7 appearances out of the total 15 Elimination Chamber matches. He will participate in his 8th Elimination Chamber match in 2013. However, he is being chased by several active superstars who are stranded with 4 appearances, notably Randy Orton and Kane.
2. Most Elimination Chamber match wins – Triple H (4)
While Jericho might have participated in the most number of Elimination Chamber matches, Triple H bags the honour of winning most of them (4). John Cena has won 3, while Edge has won 2. Jericho himself has won an Elimination Chamber match.
3. Most Eliminations (Overall) – Chris Jericho (10)
Chris Jericho tops this list with 10 eliminations in 7 matches. Triple H and Undertaker follow in second and third with 7 and 6 eliminations respectively.
4. Most Eliminations (Single match) – Goldberg and Carlito (3)
In the Elimination Chamber match for the World heavyweight championship at Summerslam 2003, Goldberg eliminated three superstar (Shawn Michaels, Chris Jericho and Randy Orton) to set the record for the most eliminations in a single match.
Carlito equalled Goldberg’s record in New Year’s Revolution 2004, when he eliminated Chris Masters, Shawn Michaels and Kane. Interestingly, both Goldberg and Carlito did not win their respective matches. They were eliminated by the eventual winners.
5. Longest time in the Elimination Chamber (Overall) – Chris Jericho
Chris Jericho has lasted for 138 minutes and 4 seconds inside the Elimination Chamber during the course of his 7 EC matches. Triple H is just 21 seconds behind him with 137:43.
Sheamus, who has participated in just 2 Elimination Chamber matches, has been inside the chamber for 53:55, winning neither of those matches.
6. Longest time in the Elimination Chamber (Single Match) – Triple H
Triple H lasted for 39 minutes and 20 seconds in the first ever Elimination Chamber match. However, he did not win that match, and was the last to be eliminated by the eventual winner Shawn Michaels.
7. Most favorable entrance number – 5
Entering the Chamber match at number 5 has proved to be fruitful on the most number of occasions (5 to be precise). Triple H has the Elimination Chamber match twice entering at number 5.
Being the first entrant is not so unfortunate as it has produced 4 winners in the past. In 2012, CM Punk defended his WWE Championship successfully, entering the match at number 1.

10. Most Appearances without a win – Randy Orton (4)
‘The Viper’ Randy Orton has taken part in the most number of Elimination Chamber matches without even winning one of them (4). He also has made just one elimination in those 4 matches. Clearly, the Elimination Chamber is not a happy hunting ground for the viper.
Hopefully, this changes in 2013 as Randy Orton enters his 5th Elimination Chamber match, still searching for that elusive win.
