It has been 32 years of WrestleMania, and the event has had a number of great matches performed by some brilliant wrestlers. Here in this piece, I would make an attempt to rate the all time top 10 performers in the history of WrestleMania.

This list was mainly made looking at how many main events the performers starred in, the magnitude of performance in their matches and the historical significance of their greatest moments.

In terms of innovation, Edge would be rated right at the top of this list. In fact, it was his innovation which gets him on this list in the first place. He participated in and won two inaugural match types at WrestleMania. He won the first TLC match at WrestleMania 17 and then won the inaugural Money in the Bank match at WrestleMania 21 both of which were highlights of their respective WrestleMania. The extent of influence that the matches had is unquestionable as they have led to separate PPVs.

Edge, however, participated in only one WrestleMania main event. But he was involved in four straight World Heavyweight Championship matches and challenged the streak in one of those matches.

Triple H makes into this list because of the amount of work which he has done in the past years at WrestleMania. He has main evented WrestleMania on six different occasions and has challenged the streak on three different occasions. His match with Shawn Michaels and Chris Benoit stood out in WrestleMania 20. His matches with Undertaker at WrestleMania 27 and 28 were also top class.

The Macho Man was the second best superstar to Hogan in 80s and 90s. He played some great WrestleMania matches and had some his greatest Moments at WrestleMania. His match in the third edition of WrestleMania again Ricky Steamboat is still regarded as the best ever in WrestleMania history by some.

Savage won both of his WWF Championships at WrestleMania—first at WrestleMania IV against Ted DiBiase and later at WrestleMania VIII against Ric Flair. The magnitude of impact and the prowess he had in the ring, however, outshines the number of main events which he was given at a time when Hulkamania was running wild.

His match with Legendary Shawn Michaels in WrestleMania 23 stands out as the best match in not only his WrestleMania career but probably his whole career.

Whether it was brilliant Iron Man match with Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania 12 or his match with Stone Cold Steve Austin at WrestleMania 13, he has been a top draw at WrestleMania and has performed to the expectations. His match with brother Owen Hart is another match which was a terrific match.

Hart pulled a double-turn at WrestleMania XIII against Stone Cold Steve Austin. This one match helped Austin build a wave of momentum that carried the WWF into the Attitude Era. That is the magnitude of importance that Bret had in his matches.

The Rock has highlighted multiple WrestleMania against the different opponents like Stone Cold Steve Austin, John Cena and Hulk Hogan. The Rock has had many memorable bouts at the Showcase of the Immortals, but the Match which stood out came at WrestleMania X8 against Hulk Hogan. In the icon versus icon match, The Rock and Hulk Hogan put up a match which exceeded expectations and was a spectacle of Drama and in-ring storytelling.

The Rock battled in the ring from WrestleMania 13 to 20 before returning for hosting WrestleMania 27 and Main Eventing WrestleMania 28 and 29 against John Cena.

Stone Cold was the top star of one of the best ever Eras of WWE. He was extremely popular and talented. His bouts at WrestleMania became huge events with the help of feuds against The Rock, Shawn Michaels, Bret Hart and Mike Tyson.

His match at WrestleMania XIII left fans with a lasting memory of Austin struggling to fight out of Bret Hart’s Sharpshooter with blood pouring out of his head. It was a match which more or less signalled the arrival of Stone Cold in the main event scene. His match with Bret Hart stood out. All of his seven matches were great wrestling works and though he main evented only 3 times, he performed well on those occasions.

Hulk Hogan was the man who made WrestleMania popular. It was Hogan who was marketed by the WWE for almost a decade before stars like Bret hart, Undertaker and HBK came on the scene. Hogan was the man people came to see at WrestleMania and he was a star bigger than any other.

Hogan has the record for the most number of main events. He has done it eight times and most of those matches were the highlights of the show as well. His match with Andre the Giant in WrestleMania 3 stands out along with his match with the Great One, The Rock at WrestleMania 18. He is also going to host the WrestleMania 30.

From the breathtaking ladder match that he had with Razor Ramon to his retirement match against the Dead Man, he performed the best matches in the show on numerous occasions.

He main evented 4 Manias but performed in more than 15 appearances in the showcase of immortals and easily outshined the rest on at least 8 occasions. His matches with Diesel, Razor Ramon, Steve Austin, Ric Flair and Undertaker stands out.

The Undertaker is now a top draw at WrestleMania and he serves as the show’s main attraction. People from the world over know about the streak and how it is one of the biggest statistic in the world of sports and entertainment.

Not only does the Undertaker has an unbeatable legacy but his matches at WrestleMania have been epic as well. With years, he has only had better matches. And unlike various others on this list, he has taken part in all but 2 WrestleMania since his debut. Undertaker has simply made WrestleMania his own PPV. The streak is now defended like a main event match regardless of the matches on the card.
