Who topped the list?

With 2018 done for good, we step into 2019 for some fresh beginnings. 2018 was a great year for the wrestling fans as WWE delivered the goods which make them stand apart. Talking about the WWE, the year was truly memorable one filled with moments that will be talked about in the years to come.

From Triple H's iconic clash against The Undertaker to the return of Shawn Michaels, from the all-women PPV to an all women Royal Rumble, the company delivered and so did the Superstars.

WWE Superstars are adored worldwide for the risks they take and the level of intensity they display in order to give the fans a show worth watching. 2018 was no different as a number of WWE Superstars impressed and made this year a bold one in their CV.

While the company in total had a successful run, few people had a great run of their own. These superstars stood apart and thus found a place in this list.

Here we rank down top 10 WWE Superstars of 2018:

#10 Asuka

The Empress of Tomorrow
The Empress of Tomorrow

2018 turned out to be tremendous for Asuka as she earned a call-up from NXT and then went on a rampant streak which included wins over the entire female roster.

Asuka won the first all-women Royal Rumble and earned a shot at the WWE Women's Championship at WrestleMania 34. The Empress of Tomorrow faced Charlotte Flair for the big prize at WrestleMania. Despite ending up on the losing side, Asuka gained appreciation from the WWE universe for her incredible in-ring attributes.

Ever since Asuka joined the main roster, she has bossed the division. The year ended well for the Empress of Tomorrow as she claimed her first WWE Women's championship in the first ever TLC women's match. Asuka defeated Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair in a historic bout.

Often acknowledged as one of the leading performers of the company, Asuka had one too many memorable matches in 2018 and it is fair to say ending the year as the SmackDown Women's Champion is exactly what was needed to justify the tremendous year Asuka had.

#9 Brock Lesnar

The Beast Incarnate might not have participated in a lot of matches but it is no secret that Brock Lesnar sells tickets! The former UFC champion was involved in some interesting rivalries this year with the likes of Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman.

The Beast held the Universal Title for the most part of 2018 and despite losing it to Roman Reigns at SummerSlam, Brock got his title back at Crown Jewel after defeating Braun Strowman for the vacated Universal Title.

Lesnar is UFC bound and the whole world knows it but the Beast will be dearly missed by the WWE Universe once he is gone. Some of the top matches of the year feature Brock Lesnar like his much-hyped bout against Daniel Bryan at Survivor Series or his fascinating battle against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 34.

Who knows how many more men will visit Suplex City in 2019 but there were many tickets cut in 2018.

#8 Drew Mcintyre

2018 will probably be remembered as the year when Drew Mcintyre broke out. The Scottish Psychopath is one of the rising stars of the company and has every trick in his bag needed to reach the top.

Talk about strength, agility and sheer ruthlessness, Drew has got it all. It would've been quite unimaginable to picture Drew like this when he was a part of the infamous faction called as 3MB along with Heath Slater and Jinder Mahal.

It is fair to say that Drew scratched his way back to the main roster and will be a major player in 2019. His bouts with Finn Balor and Dolph Ziggler were a treat to watch.

Not many men possess the strength to battle Braun Strowman but Drew is one of a kind who didn't shy away from confronting the Monster Among Men and thus here we stand as Drew Mcintyre ends 2018 as one of the best performers of the year.

#7 Roman Reigns

WWE's First-Ever Emmy 'For Your Consideration' Event

The biggest shock of 2018 came when Roman Reigns revealed his health condition and that he had to take a step back from wrestling due to his Leukemia. The Big Dog relinquished the Universal Title and left the WWE Universe in sorrow.

Roman would've surely been on a much higher position in this list had he been in the best of health but keeping all those things aside, the Big Dog had a tremendous year as he reunited with his shield brothers, main evented WrestleMania for yet another time and finally won the Universal Title from Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam.

Roman's rivalry with Brock had been on and off and it seemed like Brock had Roman's number due to his dominant history over the Big Dog but Roman beat all odds to win the Universal Title.

The year will also be remembered for Roman's historic bout with John Cena which was more a passing the torch moment between two faces. Roman did get the better of Cena which indicated the company's plan for the future but sadly Roman's leukemia resurfaced and the Big Dog had to bid adieu to the company for the time being.

#6 Ronda Rousey

WWE's First-Ever Emmy 'For Your Consideration' Event
WWE's First-Ever Emmy 'For Your Consideration' Event

When Ronda Rousey arrived in the company, great things were expected of her and the former UFC Champion has done exactly that. After being victorious at Wrestlemania 34 where she teamed up with Kurt Angle against Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, Ronda has been on a roll.

Her feuds with Alexa Bliss and Nia Jax did enthrall the WWE fans as the Baddest Woman on the planet had a dominant 2018. Ronda became the Raw Women's Champion by defeating Bliss at SummerSlam by submission.

Ever since capturing the Raw Women's Championship, Ronda has been on a rampant run beating almost everybody in the Raw Women's locker room.

Rowdy Ronda squared off against The Queen- Charlotte Flair at Survivor Series and the two did put on a mightly impressive match which was the highlight of 2018's edition of Survivor Series.

Ronda enters 2019 as the Raw Women's Champion and even greater things are expected of her in the year ahead.

#5 AJ Styles

WWE Super Show-Down Media Opportunity
WWE Super Show-Down Media Opportunity

The Phenomenal one held the WWE Championship for the most part of 2018 before losing it to Daniel Bryan. AJ Styles has been on a roll ever since he joined the company and it is fair to say that the WWE Universe is in awe of the Phenomenal One everytime he steps foot inside the squared circle.

Styles is undoubtedly one of the greatest of all-time and is capable of putting a great show with almost anyone in the locker room. The former impact wrestler successfully defended the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 34 against Shinsuke Nakamura in what was a highly anticipated match.

Styles did go to war with the Destroyer, Samoa Joe as their rivalry got intense with time but Joe wasn't able to take away the WWE Championship from the Phenomenal One because to put it in simple words, AJ Styles is that damn good!

SmackDown had impressive ratings in 2018 and this man was a major reason for that.

#4 Daniel Bryan

WWE SummerSlam Press Conference
WWE SummerSlam Press Conference

The greatest return of 2018 has to be Daniel Bryan's! Bryan was the General Manager of SmackDown Live until being cleared by the doctors to compete.

The fans were delighted to watch Bryan back in action as the Bearded Genius is often considered as one of the greatest in-ring performers of all-time. The yes chants were back as the little genius returned and was ready to reach the pinnacle of world wrestling once more.

While serving as the GM of SmackDown, Bryan formed a hot relationship with The Miz and the WWE Universe profoundly wanted this matchup to take place and they got exactly the same.

The Miz and Daniel Bryan formed an interesting rivalry which even involved Brie Bella and Maryse.

Bryan then stepped in the ring with the Phenomenal One, AJ Styles in what was termed as a dream match. Both the superstars gave the WWE Universe plenty to cheer about and fought for the WWE Championship a number of times. Bryan turned heel and ended the year as the new WWE Champion.

The former GM of Smackdown even squared off against Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series and very nearly got the better of the best but in the end, went down to an F5.

#3 Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins
Seth Rollins

The Architect is possibly one of the best in-ring performers the WWE have at their expense at the amount. Seth Rollins churns out impressive matches week after week and is probably the guy on raw now that Roman is gone for a while.

The former Shield member had a great year as he won the Intercontinental Championship at Wrestlemania and was involved in an enticing feud with Dolph Ziggler for the Intercontinental Title after that.

One major highlight for Rollins in 2018 was his showing in the gauntlet match held at Raw a week before the Elimination Chamber PPV as Seth fought and beat John Cena and then Roman Reigns in what were two of the best matches of 2018.

Despite ending the year on a low after having lost the IC Title to former tag team partner Dean Ambrose, Seth had an amazing year and only great things are expected of him in 2019.

#2 Braun Strowman

WWE's First-Ever Emmy 'For Your Consideration' Event
WWE's First-Ever Emmy 'For Your Consideration' Event

The WWE Universe has witnessed giants who stroll their way through the top with brute strength and Braun Strowman is no exception. The Monster Among Men had an influential year and was the sole reason for Raw's impressive ratings at one point.

From flipping trucks to getting the whole set down, Braun had a remarkable 2018. The Monster Among Men won the Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia which was the Greatest Royal Rumble, featuring 50 men.

The former Wyatt family member won the Tag Team Titles at WrestleMania 34 as he teamed up with a young boy, Nicholas from the crowd and defeated Cesaro and Sheamus.

Braun gained huge support from the WWE Universe in his rivalry with Brock Lesnar as the Monster Among Men dominated the Beast on one too many occasions and it is quite sad that Braun didn't win the Universal Title.

From winning the Money In The Bank to brawling with loads of superstars, Braun Strowman was a fan favorite who got major backing from the fans.

#1 Becky Lynch

The Man probably had the greatest year of her career as she became the SmackDown Women's Champion for the second time in her career. 2018 will be remembered as the year of Becky Lynch and Charlotte as the two formed an eye-catching rivalry.

Becky delivered great matches throughout the year. From her classic singles match up with Flair at Evolution to the historic TLC match, the Irish wrestler was at her best throughout the year.

Becky even led the SmackDown brigade as the women roster from the blue brand attacked Raw's women division. Becky attacked Ronda Rousey and gave us a moment to remember.

2018 was a great year for the WWE and many superstars impressed us with their efforts but if we're talking about the best one, the one who had the best year or the one who truly made 2018 his/her year, has to be The Man- Becky Lynch.
