2019 has been an intriguing year for WWE and all of pro-wrestling in general. It's been no secret for a very long time that sports entertainment is scripted, and that gives rise to the question: Do wins and losses matter?
No matter how much one might argue, the momentum of a Superstar plays a huge role in his/her success. If one can't back up their words inside the squared circle, it's tough to take that Superstar seriously and get behind them.
In this article, let's take a look at the top 20 Superstars with the most wins on RAW this year so far.
Note: The records presented are up to November 4th and in the form of: Wins-Losses-Draws. (Draws are being defined as any match that ends without a clear winner and loser.)
#20 Natalya (8-12-3)
The Queen of Harts, Natalya is one of the veterans of the women's division of the company. Being one of the most technically gifted Superstars in the division, it is not very surprising to see her in this Top 20 list.
In recent weeks, she has started teaming-up with the Queen, Charlotte, and the two have picked some impressive wins, including one against the Women's Tag Team Champions, Kabuki Warriors.
#19 Alexa Bliss (8-8-1)
The Goddess, Alexa Bliss has been out of action quite a few times this year, leading to her making less in-ring appearances. Nevertheless, her reign as the Women's Tag Champion alongside Nikki Cross resulted in them picking up quite a few wins on RAW.
The 2019 draft saw her being drafted to SmackDown as a special trade move. Currently, she is on yet another hiatus and we hope to see her back in the ring soon.
#18 Lacey Evans (8-4-1)
The Sassy Southern Belle Lacey Evans made her main roster debut on RAW this year. In a short span, she has had quite a few rivalries against top talents like Becky Lynch and Natalya.
As part of the recently concluded Crown Jewel PPV, she became one of the two women to be a part of the first-ever Women's match in Saudi Arabia along with her recent rival Natalya. With the company trusting her for such a huge occasion, she looks set to be a major part of the division in the near future.
#17 Aleister Black (8-2-1)
While many of you might be surprised to see him in this top 20 list, especially because he mostly appears in backstage segments these days, Aleister Black has picked quite a few victories on the red brand this year.
Most of those came during the first couple months of the year after his debut in late Feburay, when Black joined the main roster and to teamed up with fellow NXT-turned-RAW Superstar Ricochet. Many fans look at him as the next big thing in WWE, and only time will tell how successful the master of the Black Mass will be on the main roster.
#16 Ronda Rousey (8-1-1)
The Baddest Women on the Planet Ronda Rousey deserves a lot of credit for the exposure and opportunities that the Women's division of the company got this year. After her debut at WrestleMania in 2018 she went undefeated on RAW until taking her only red-brand loss during a tag-team match on the Road to WrestleMania.
Rousey is currently out of action with an injury, but WWE COO Triple H has openly mentioned that she is not done with the company and will return to the ring soon.
#15 Bayley (9-5-1)
The Hugger-turned-Hater, Bayley is arguably the most underrated of the Four Horsewomen group. Becoming the first-ever WWE Women's Tag Team Champion alongside Sasha Banks, she has had quite a happening year.
After years of being a proper babyface, we are finally witnessing the excellence of the "bad girl" version of Bayley with a completely new look and attitude. It has looked promising so far, and I can't wait to see what does the future has in store for the SmackDown Women's Champion.
#14 Sasha Banks (9-3-2)
One of the best wrestlers of the women's roster, it might be a surprise at first to see Sasha Banks on a lower rank in this list. The major reason for this was her five-month hiatus from the company after WrestleMania 35.
While there were many rumors of her joining AEW, The Legit Boss made her return to WWE TV on the night after SummerSlam to kickstart her feud with Becky Lynch, which she unfortunately lost. With her moving to SmackDown at the draft, let's wait and see what the future holds for her.
#13 and #12 The Revival (10-15-2)
Amongst the many WWE Superstars that fans have been hoping to join Cody Rhodes' rival promotion, these two probably top the list. One of the most decorated teams from NXT, The Revival hasn't had a great time on the main roster, but 2019 saw them get some important victories as well as win the tag titles.
Being a massive supporter and fan of Tag Team wrestling, I genuinely hope the Top Guys can resurrect themselves in the coming year and elevate the status of the division in the process.
#11 Nikki Cross (11-7-1)
The former member of the NXT faction Sanity, Nikki Cross has surprised everyone with her performance on the main roster. Her pairing with Alexa Bliss became an instant hit as the duo won the Women's Tag Team Championship and also provided for entertaining television.
While many expected their alliance to be short-lived, the two have been together for quite some time now and it would be interesting to see whether WWE pulls off the trigger on a Bliss vs. Cross feud soon.
#10 AJ Styles (12-8)
One of the top in-ring performers of this generation, AJ Styles makes his way to the top 10 most wins on RAW. While his die-hard fans might expect him to be way higher on this list, his record is still impressive.
After working as a babyface for the first half of the year, the Phenomenal One turned heel and formed the OC alongside his former mates, Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows. He also holds the United StatesTitle and has been delivering amazing matches week after week on the red brand.
#9 Finn Balor (12-4)
The first-ever Universal Champion, Finn Balor remains one of the top Superstars in the company even though he has yet to win a second World Title. Capturing the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania, Balor went on to have a decent run with the title before losing it to Shinsuke Nakamura.
At Summerslam, Balor became the first victim of The Fiend and after a hiatus, his return to NXT and turning heel has given a fresh feel to his character. It will be interesting to see how WWE uses him in the upcoming battle between the three brands at Survivor Series.
#8 Drew McIntyre (12-14-1)
Drew McIntyre has often been considered as the next big thing in the company. After his 3MB stint, his return to the company in 2017 has been one of the most impressing ones in recent memory. Not only has he turned himself into a beast look-wise, but his in-ring skills have also improved a lot.
WWE may have stifled some of his momentum in portraying him as the sidekick of Shane McMahon, but with him returning as a singles Superstar again, watch out as he might just be the break-out Superstar of the company in the coming year.
#7 Becky Lynch (14-2-1)
In what could come as one of the major surprises on this list, I'm sure most of you would be expecting to see Becky Lynch in at least the top 5. But she stands on the 7th position with 14 victories and two losses.
Including being a part of the historic WrestleMania 35 main event (and the winner), The Man has been having a dream year in 2019, breaking all the ceilings and elevating the status of Women's wrestling all across the globe. She continues to rule the division on RAW as the Women's champion and it's tough to see anyone dethroning her anytime soon.
#6 Baron Corbin (15-12)
The 2019 King of the Ring, Baron Corbin has also had a great year with the company giving him many opportunities to shine. Being a natural heel, Corbin has the ability to generate a reaction from the crowd whenever he wants.
It is great to see him improve his in-ring skills and try to become a better performer, while at the same time developing a great heel character. Don't be shocked if Corbin turns out to become a World Champion next year.
#5 Braun Strowman (15-8-2)
Many fans have been extremely vocal on the internet about the booking of the Monster Among Men, Braun Strowman. Despite that, he has an impressive win record this year with grabbing a massive 15 victories on RAW so far in 2019.
Being one of the biggest picks for Friday Night SmackDown in the recently concluded draft, it will be interesting to see how soon can he get his hands (no pun intended) on his first World Championship.
#4 and #3 Viking Raiders (21-3)
The Viking Raiders have been projected as one of the most dominant teams in recent memory. Both Erik and Ivar have impressed the WWE Universe with their dominant yet creative wrestling styles and going on to capture the RAW Tag Team titles.
While most of their victories have come through local talents and jobbers, it is still a major feat to be in the top 3 of this list.
#2 Seth Rollins (20-5-5)
The former Universal Champion, Seth Rollins also falls under the category of Superstars for whom 2019 has been the best year of their careers. Starting the year with a Royal Rumble victory, Rollins went on to defeat the Beast Incarnate at WrestleMania and then again at Summerslam to capture the Universal Title.
While he was one of the biggest babyfaces on the roster for the most part of the year, his rivalry against "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt has turned many fans against him. Do you think we will see Rollins bring back his heel persona soon?
#1 Ricochet (25-10-2)
As a massive surprise, it is none other than the One and the Only Ricochet who has topped this list of most victories on RAW this year with a massive 25 wins. Who says all NXT talents get buried on the main roster?
Making his debut on the red brand earlier this year alongside Aleister Black, Ricochet has been projected as an absolute Superstar, even defeating former 2-time NXT Champion and multiple-time Universal Title contender Samoa Joe to capture the United States Title. Thanks to his innovative offense and high-flying wrestling abilities, Ricochet remains to be one of the most loved Superstars on the WWE roster. Do you see a future World Champion in him?
