Edge is one of the most decorated professional wrestlers of all-time and has had incredible success both as a babyface and as a heel; and both as part of a faction and as a bonafide singles competitor, something very few wrestlers have managed to do.

He was always known for performing wild stunts and was involved in some insane matches and feuds, which established him as an all-time great and gave him a place in WWE's Hall of Fame.

Some of his most memorable matches were the ones that had dangerous stipulations like Hell in a Cell match against The Undertaker, first ever Money in the Bank ladder match victory, Hardcore Match against Mick Foley, etc.

The Rated R Superstar was always the man for big moments and only a well fought match could satisfy his thirst. Let's look at Edge's favorite stipulations that made him a household name around the globe.

#3 Money in the Bank ladder match

Everything Edge did with his character as the 'Ultimate Opportunist' after breaking up with Christian came down to his victory at 2005's Money in the Bank ladder match.

The stipulation dictates that the holder of the briefcase can cash-in his contract anytime and anywhere, regardless of the condition of the champion, which fitted Edge's character perfectly as he was always looking for opportunities to get himself in the title picture, using heel tactics. With this victory, WWE themselves handed him that in the form of a briefcase.

The cash in was flawless as well. Edge's cash-in on a bloodied and beaten John Cena cemented the former's character as a sadistic heel and set the bar very high for other future briefcases holders.

Although technically he has won just one of these matches, The Rated R Superstar is the first name that pops up on everyone's mind when they think about Money in the Bank ladder matches.

#2 Elimination Chamber

Having been involved in four Elimination Chamber matches, Edge always promised to bring in something unique and exciting with him. He was the x-factor that a stipulation like this desperately needed after the exits of Goldberg, Shawn Micheals, and Batista from the company as full-timers.

He already had a reputation of being a fearless and edgy character due to his matches with The Dudley Boyz and Mick Foley, and he lived up to that expectation when he won the World Heavyweight Championship in 2008 after losing the WWE Championship on the same night.

That vicious heel move cemented Edge as a dangerous top guy and people still talk about it as their favorite Elimination Chamber moment. He even replicated that performance by winning the match at 2011's Elimination Chamber as a babyface, where he entered at number 1 and went the whole way to book his spot in WrestleMania 27.

Having won 2 out of 4 such matches, Edge will always be regarded as one of the greatest Elimination Chamber performers.

#1 Ladder matches

Edge was synonymous with ladder matches throughout his career. He was someone who never backed down from performing high-risk stunts for our entertainment, and delivered them with utmost confidence and form.

While Money in the Bank is a variation of ladder matches, it is a bit different, because, in ladder matches, wrestlers have to fight against relatively few opponents.

Edge became the ladder match specialist during the turn of the century when he along with Christian had a brilliantly choreographed triple threat tag team ladder match against the Dudley Boys and the Hardy Boyz, which became the talk of the town when it happened.

That was Edge's first ladder match and immediately established him as a top star. After that, he had many other incredible matches in this stipulation against wrestlers like Christian, Matt Hardy, Jeff Hardy, and Kane which went on to cement his place as the emperor of the ladder matches.
