Truth behind rumours of former WWE star returning

Kharma in her last storyline in the WWE

According to dailywrestlingnews, former TNA star Awesome Kong – who was recently released by the franchise – teased a possible return to WWE via her Instagram account, where she posted vignettes of her in her Kharma avatar, but the account has now been revealed as a fake, with the wrestler herself stating via social networking site Twitter that she does not have an Instagram account.

Kong, who had a two year stint with WWE, was recently released by TNA – where she also had a previous stint – due to her being involved in a physical alteration with colleague Reby Sky in the presence of her (Sky’s) son.

TNA released the following statement after the incident:

“We conducted an investigation and determined releasing Awesome Kong is the appropriate action in this case,” said TNA Executive Vice President of Talent Relations and Television John Gaburick. “Kong has been a great contributor to TNA and helped solidify the Knockouts as the best female division in professional wrestling. We thank her and wish her well.”

Even though the rumour of Kong joining WWE turned out to be a fake, the wrestler could still find work in the near future as she had quite a good run in the TNA, winning two TNA Knockout Championships among other trophies.
