This week of WWE SmackDown was live from the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, FL. Daniel Bryan kicked off the show.

Daniel Bryan went on a rant about fast food. He then began talking about his opponent at Royal Rumble, AJ Styles. Bryan was attacked by R-Truth who came out of nowhere. Bryan was thrown onto the barricade, even before their scheduled match started.

Daniel Bryan faced R-truth in a singles non-title match, and defeated him comfortably. As Bryan made his way to the back, he was attacked by AJ Styles, and the Phenomenal One was held back by security as Bryan ran away to the locker room.

Next on SmackDown Live, the team of Rey Mysterio and Mustafa Ali faced the team of Samoa Joe and Andrade 'Cien' Almas. After some amazing action, Almas pinned Rey Mysterio to get the victory for his team.

Next, United States Champion Rusev came out to call Shinsuke Nakamura out. Rusev said if Nakamura didn't come to the ring, he would find him, but Nakamura attacked the US Champ backstage, landing a Kinshasa.

The Usos faced The Bar in a tag team match to gain an opportunity to face them for the tag team championship at Royal Rumble. After the distraction caused by Mandy Rose, The Bar beat The Usos by hitting a Neutraliser on Jey Uso.

The Miz made his way to the ring and congratulated The Bar. The Miz wanted The Bar to put their SmackDown tag team titles on the line against him and Shane McMahon at Royal Rumble. Sheamus landed a Brogue Kick on The Miz, and they accepted the challenge put forth by The Miz.

In the main event of this week's SmackDown Live, Becky Lynch faced Charlotte Flair and Carmella in a triple-threat match to grab the opportunity to face Asuka at Royal Rumble pay-per-view. After some incredible action, Becky Lynch won the match by locking in the disarmer on Carmella.

After the match, Asuka made her entrance, and had a stare-down with Becky Lynch.
