Where are these WWE Superstars now? - Edition 5

Triple H is one of the better-known former wrestlers that work behind the scenes for WWE.

This is the fifth in a series of features looking at former WWE performers and their current occupations and circumstances. While most of those names so far have been in unlikely locations outside the world of wreslting, some others didn’t go very far at all.

At various WWE shows, you’d likely find some very familiar faces backstage. One of the most well-known such Superstar is Chief Operating Officer Paul Levesque, better known as Triple H, but there are plenty other former superstars still working to improve the product.

Dean Malenko

Dean Malenko made the transition from WCW to WWF at one point in his career.

In the ring, Dean Malenko was known as a talented technical wrestler in both WCW and WWF rings. With WCW, he was one of the latter members of the Four Horsemen and won Cruiserweight, United States Heavyweight and tag team gold. In WWF action, he was a two-time Light Heavyweight Champion.

These days, the “Iceman” is working as a road agent or producer for WWE. That means he helps put together the matches and communicate with executives and in-ring talent alike. Maybe he can teach some of them a few of his 1,000 holds?

Billy Kidman

Billy Kidman also found success in both the WWE and WCW.

Like Malenko, Billy Kidman was a talented member of the WCW roster before he made his way over to the WWE. He was a versatile performer with technical ability and high-flying skills to match, which led him to win various cruiserweight and tag team titles. And keeping with the theme of that era, his gimmick was that of a heroin addict who kept scratching his track marks.

Also like Malenko, Kidman’s WWE career didn’t end when he finished up in the ring. A producer for the company, he has appeared in a couple segments as an extra performer, and he also made appearances on “The JBL Show.”

Prince Albert/Lord Tensai

Matt Bloom once performed as Lord Tensai in the WWE.

Matt Bloom performed under a few names in the WWE, mainly known as Prince Albert and Lord Tensai. Through those two runs with the company, he only managed one Intercontinental Championship run, but he also had a career in Japan, where he saw more individual success.

Now, Bloom is a part of preparing future generations of stars for their own in-ring careers. He’s the head trainer at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, where future NXT and WWE stars get their start.
