5 Superstars Goldberg is good friends with in real life

Prepare to be surprised

The much-awaited return of Goldberg is set to happen on the upcoming edition of Raw. Goldberg will show up on WWE after a break of more than a decade and it has got the fans excited, to say the least.

Goldberg will be going up against Brock Lesnar from the looks of it and rumours suggest that these two would go head to head at Survivor Series.

As Goldberg is all around the internet, this would be a great time to peek into his personal life. So in this list, we are going to take a look at some big names that are good friends with him in real life. And the last name might raise an eyebrow or two for sure.

#5 Jim Ross

JR has been close to Golberg for a long time

Jim Ross was one of the first insiders that confirmed the rumours of Goldberg’s fight aginst Brock Lesnar. JR also said that the match could take place at Survivor Series, which is apparently the path that WWE is travelling now.

When Goldberg decided to start a new podcast, it was Jim Ross that gave the former WCW champion advice. Goldberg also admitted that he has been taking tips from JR for the past three decades. Goldberg also said that his relationship with JR goes back to his Oklahoma days.

“I've been taking Jim's advice for the past 30 years. He and I go way back to my Oklahoma days. So why reinvent the wheel and why not talk to people who have tread before you? And he obviously knows what he's doing,” Goldberg said when asked about the nature of their friendship.

#4 Terry Crews

Friendship from the footballing days

Terry Crews is not necessarily a ‘WWE’ superstar but he is a superstar in his own right. The former NFL star made his mark in Hollywood thanks to Sylvester Stallone’s Expendables series and has shown up in a string of other films as well. Crews and Goldberg’s relationship dates back to their footballing days.

If you want numbers, they first met around 25 years ago when they used to be in the Los Angeles Rams. The two men kept their friendship strong over the years and Crews even appeared on Goldberg’s podcast. They are still good friends and pictures of these two hanging out can be found all over the internet.

#3 Scott Steiner

Enemies in the squared circle, friends outside!

Last year, Scott Steiner and Goldberg were in the headlines after Goldberg speared Steiner. The two men also gave a good build with their ferocious rants at each other, however, all of this was apparently just to ‘work’ the crowd.

In real life, Steiner and Goldberg are good friends. There was also an instance when Goldberg legitimately hurt Steiner during a match and almost broke kayfabe to attend to his friend.

Goldberg has also been appreciative of the work that Steiner does and last year, he mentioned the same during an interview and said, “I loved working with him, he’s awesome. I love everything he does with the Big Poppa Pump deal, it’s great.”

#2 Steve Austin

WWE should bring back Austin to hype the Lesnar vs. Goldberg rematch

The relationship between Steve Austin and Brock Lesnar is not a secret one. Goldberg has termed Austin as the guy that lives, breathes and eats the business, and Austin has had nothing but praise for Goldberg.

Goldberg noted numerous times that he has learned a lot from Austin throughout the years and is apparently sad about the fact that he couldn’t face Austin in a full-blown match.

Goldberg and Austin have appeared together on various platforms and considering that Austin was the special guest referee at Goldberg’s last match in WWE, Austin should be involved in some capacity during the upcoming one as well.

#1 Brock Lesnar

Surprised?

As mentioned earlier, this is perhaps the most shocking entry in the list. While Goldberg and Brock Lesnar are set to face off for one more time, something that WWE doesn’t address is the real life friendship that these two has.

Goldberg has been vocal about the same on numerous occasions saying that he appreciates Lesnar and also saying that he would be in the corner of Lesnar no matter what the Beast does.

“I know from a personal level, whatever Brock wants to do, I'm good with. I like Brock, he's one of the few from that business I can even personally stand. I respect him, I admire him, and I appreciate him,” Goldberg once said during an interview.

With these two set to face off soon, this would be a big surprise to many fans and a secret that WWE would want to keep hidden.
