Current WWE Champions (2024)

Championships are the awards for which the wrestlers compete in WWE and all of professional wrestling. Here is the complete list of all the current WWE Champions from WWE RAW, WWE SmackDown and WWE NXT.

Current Champions in WWE

Undisputed WWE Championship

WWE Championship is the top-tier title in WWE ever since the company was incorporated. During all these years the title has been merged with many titles. At WrestleMania 38, then-Universal Champion Roman Reigns defeated then-WWE Champion Brock Lesnar to unify the two titles which was then known as the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion. The title was called the Undisputed WWE Championship after Roman Reigns dropped it at WrestleMania XL. The current Undisputed WWE Champion is Cody Rhodes, in his first reign with the title.

World Heavyweight Championship

World Heavyweight Championship is the top reward for male superstars competing on the RAW brand as the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship has been drafted exclusively to SmackDown. The title was revealed in April 2023 and the inaugural champion Seth Rollins was crowned in May 2023 via a tournament. The current World Heavyweight Champion is Damian Priest who cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase on the former champion Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania XL Night Two.

WWE Women's Championship

For the female division of the Red brand, RAW Women's Championship was the ultimate prize. Formerly known as the WWE Women's Championship, the title got renamed following the WWE Draft in 2016. It was named the WWE Women's Championship again in 2023 when the champion was shifted to SmackDown. Bayley is the current champion in her second reign with the title.

Women's World Championship

The women athletes of the Blue brand fight for the WWE SmackDown Women's Championship. Owing to the brand split in 2016, the title came into existence and Becky Lynch was crowned as the first-ever champion. Lynch is also the current champion after she won the Battle Royal for the vacant championship on April 22, 2024.

WWE Intercontinental Championship

The second most important WWE title on SmackDown is the WWE Intercontinental Championship. Since its inception in 1979, the title has evolved to be a championship for the 'workhorses' of the company. Sami Zayn is the current WWE Intercontinental Champion after he

WWE United States Championship

Following the purchase of WCW, the US title became a part of the WWE. Logan Paul is the current WWE United States Champion in his first title reign.

World Tag Team Championship

The Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship was split back into the RAW Tag Team Championship and SmackDown Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania XL after the two titles were retrieved by two different teams in a ladder match. On the April 15, 2024, episode of RAW, the title was renamed to World Tag Team Championship. The current World Tag Team Champions are The Miz and R-Truth known as The Awesome Truth.

WWE Tag Team Championship

The Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship was split back into the RAW Tag Team Championship and SmackDown Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania XL after the two titles were retrieved by two different teams in a ladder match. On the April 19, 2024, episode of SmackDown, the title was renamed to WWE Tag Team Championship. The current WWE Tag Team Champions are Grayson Waller and Austin Theory known as A-Town Down Under.

WWE Women's Tag Team Championship

In early 2019, WWE introduced the tag titles for its women's division. It is not exclusive to any brand and can be defended across both RAW and SmackDown. In 2023, the title was unified with NXT Women's Tag Team Championship and is now the topmost prize for the female tag team division of all the three brands. The titles are currently held by Kabuki Warriors (Asuka and Kairi Sane).

NXT Championship

NXT is now termed the third brand of WWE after RAW and SmackDown and for its male roster, the NXT Championship is the top title. Since its inception in 2012, there have been 17 different Champions with most of them heading into the Red and Blue brand following their title reign.

NXT Women's Championship

While the NXT Championship is for men, the women's roster of the Black-and-Gold brand competes for the NXT Women's Championship. The title is currently held by Lyra Valkyria.

NXT North American Championship

After the NXT Championship, NXT North American Championship is considered the second-most important prize in the men's division of the brand. It is also recognized as one of the three secondary WWE titles alongside the United States and Intercontinental Championships.

NXT Tag Team Championship

All the tag teams of the Black-and-Gold brand fight to get their hands on the NXT Tag Team Championships. Bron Breakker and Baron Corbin are the current NXT Tag Team Champions in their first reign.

WWE Speed Championship

The WWE Speed Championship is a new championship introduced for WWE's latest programming - Speed. It is a fast-paced broadcast made specifically for X, formerly known as Twitter. The matches on Speed last for a maximum of three minutes. The inaugural WWE Speed Champion will be crowned in April 2024 via a tournament.
