WWE Clash of Champions 2019: 5 Surprises that could happen- Tag team reunites, Fired Superstar returns

Could we see 'The Baddest Woman On The Planet' return?
Could we see 'The Baddest Woman On The Planet' return?

WWE Clash of Champions 2019 is going to be a show to remember if more or more of these surprises happen. As good as a well-worked show is for fans, there's nothing that beats the thrill of a genuine surprise.

In this list, I shall write down some genuine surprises that could potentially happen during the show. As always, I invite you to leave a comment and let me know your thoughts and views.

RAW is facing stiff competition these days and even decent shows like the one last week scored poorly in terms of numbers. Therefore a massive shake-up or two could definitely make a huge difference in terms of making viewers tune in to see what is up.

That said, here are 5 surprises that we could see this weekend.

#5 Ronda Rousey costs Becky Lynch her big match

There are a lot of rumors out there that indicate that Ronda Rousey will be returning sooner rather than later to WWE. I mean Tom Colohue of Sportskeeda reported not long ago that Ronda Rousey was very keen on coming back to RAW to work with Paul Heyman because she's a fan of his and there were also rumors that Vince McMahon was keen on signing Travis Browne, Ronda Rousey's husband to WWE. But the biggest thing that indicates that she may be coming soon is the fact that she's part of the Total Divas cast.

Let's assume that Becky Lynch has her match won against Sasha Banks when Ronda Rousey's music hits and distracts Lynch to such an extent that she loses the title. Becky vs. Ronda is a big-ticket feud that hasn't resulted in a singles match yet, and if that happens at Survivor Series, it'll set the world on fire.

#4 Luke Harper returns to decimate Roman Reigns, helps Rowan

Luke Harper and Rowan were once part of a team known as The Bludgeon Brothers, as you are well aware. The ill-fated team suffered injuries and while Rowan would return to reunite with Daniel Bryan, Harper has been on the shelf waiting for a callback for many months now. As can be seen from the Tweet shared above, Rowan has teased that something major will go down at the pay-per-view and Harper's return could certainly be slotted in that category.

There are many rumors surrounding Luke Harper and how Vince McMahon isn't necessarily a fan of his, but one can only assume that if he's a contracted employee, WWE will want to use him in some capacity because he's certainly a very good asset. He's a big man who can move with more nimbleness and agility than people of his size should be able to. Plus, if the Bludgeon Brothers do reunite, this time hopefully without those ridiculous outfits, they could potentially have a great run in the Tag Team Division too!

Unlike Roman vs. Rowan which does not seem like the most exciting match in the world, Reigns vs. Harper could actually be a great match, truth be told.

#3 Corbin destroys Gable in a brutal backstage attack

The King of the Ring tournament has been a very strange affair because when the tournament first began nobody expected Baron Corbin and Chad Gable to make it to the finals. I think that the WWE Universe, for once, is not upset with how the tournament played out because they would have never imagined that these two individuals would be in the finals.

While the finals were supposed to be on pay-per-view, we recently learned that they will be taking place on RAW instead. So how does WWE build interest for RAW, during the pay-per-view, you quite rightfully ask!

I think that Corbin needs to take Gable out in a backstage segment and quite literally belittle him, talking about his height and how he doesn't hold a candle to someone like King Corbin, who, all said and done, would make for a fantastic King of the Ring, with the character. If plans are for Gable to win the whole thing, he needs the crowd to be invested in him and something like this will go a long way in achieving the same, in my opinion.

Imagine an injured Chad Gable winning the whole thing!

#2 Kevin Owens announces that he's going to NXT

Kevin Owens was forced, against his wishes, to referee the main event match on SmackDown Live between Chad Gable and Shane McMahon, in a move where Owens had no choice but to rule the match in favor of Shane McMahon. But when Shane McMahon tapped out during the match, he took out his ire and his frustrations on Owens. Shane McMahon would let Owens know that he had been fired from SmackDown.

Owens would then put up a post that would indicate that he wants to go to NXT, and unlike Bray Wyatt's cryptic 11:19 statistic, this was something that the WWE Universe guessed at once. So, could Kevin Owens run through the crowd and let the WWE Universe know his intentions of going back to NXT? I mean NXT is right in the midst of the Wednesday Night Wars and Kevin Owens should be a commander for the black and yellow brand, in the wars to come!

I think that something like this is likely to happen because NXT needs all the hype that it can get when it moves to the USA Network later this week.

#1 The Fiend brings the Universal Championship match to an early end

Bray Wyatt has been very vocal about the fact that he wants to be inserted into the Universal Championship picture at Hell in a Cell. I mean he signs off from every Firefly Fun House vignette by saying 'see you in Hell' after all, doesn't he?

Now, many fans have been wondering if he'll get to face Seth Rollins or Braun Strowman at Hell in a Cell, but what if the idea is for him to face both men and not one? Maybe he brings the Universal Championship match to an early end by taking both men down, and now the Universal Championship picture is suddenly a lot more exciting than ever.

There is no way that WWE can have The Fiend take a pin at WWE Hell in a Cell 2019 which is why I believe that he will go over clean against both men, and hold the title until WrestleMania 36. Someone will most likely dethrone him there, most likely The Demon King, when he makes a return from hiatus.

What I'm trying to say is that we're in for a few exciting months of quality WWE content.
