WWE Crown Jewel: Ranking the chances of each team in Tag Team Turmoil

Saudi Arabia will play host to the biggest tag turmoil in WWE history

In a few short weeks, WWE will head to Saudi Arabia for its fourth show there in the last two years. The event will be the second one to be titled Crown Jewel and in continuing last year's World Cup theme, will feature a Tag Team Turmoil Match to determine 'the best tag-team in the world'.

The match is set to feature nine of WWE's current main roster tag teams including both the current RAW and SmackDown Tag Team Champions. If given enough time, the match could turn out to be a whole lot of fun and could also turn out to be an excellent opportunity for WWE to put some much needed focus back on the Tag Team Division.

Of course, the entrance order of each of the teams in the match will have a huge influence on whichever team ends up walking away with the victory, but let's take a look at the nine teams currently slated to participate and rank their chances of winning.

#9: Lucha House Party

Lucha House Party have zero momentum right now
Lucha House Party have zero momentum right now

Last time Lucha House Party were in Saudi Arabia they were manhandled by Lars Sullivan. Given how they have been booked in recent months, they shouldn't expect too much better this time around either.

The group are largely absent from WWE Television and when they do appear, it's to job to another team. Lucha House Party were recently drafted to SmackDown and are likely to just get lost in the shuffle in a tag team division with more depth than its RAW counterpart.

Lucha House Party may hit a few high spots in the match, but fans can almost definitely expect the group to get fed to one of the more popular teams in the tournament.

#8: The B-Team

B-Team, B-Team, go, go, go! At one point last year, The B-Team were one of the most over tag-team acts in WWE.

Of course, their run was always going to be limited, but the tandem are still capable of getting a reaction from the crowd from time to time.

After a run with the Tag Team Titles towards the end of 2018, the duo quickly became jobbers once again and have not been used in an active role on WWE Television since.

They stand little to no chance of winning this match, but WWE may give them a silly victory in the early goings to get them a cheap pop from the Saudi Arabian crowd.

#7: Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins

Like the B-Team, Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins have had a modicum of success in the last year or so because they are often booked as the ultimate underdogs. The duo are incredibly likable and their hometown WrestleMania victory was a nice touch earlier in the year.

Like the B-Team, the duo are still capable of getting a reaction out of the crowd and WWE may book them to pick up an early surprise victory just to get the crowd into the match, but they are over matched and have almost no chance of defeating the majority of the other teams on this list.

#6: Heavy Machinery

Heavy Machinery are one of the most entertaining acts on the WWE roster and they are slowly but surely getting themselves over with the WWE Universe.

The duo are yet to pick up any major victories, but they could put on a strong showing at Crown Jewel. Booking them to defeat teams like The B-Team or Lucha House Party could make them look strong before they ultimately fall to one of the bigger tag teams in the match.

#5: The OC

To say WWE is a little inconsistent with The OC would be an understatement. Their recent program with The Viking Raiders was extremely entertaining, but the company never seems to want to fully commit to the act. The trio has loads of potential as a main event act in WWE, but are instead left lingering on the mid-card.

It remains unclear as to whether AJ Styles is going to be involved in this match or not, but either way, fans can expect the group to put on a strong showing, only to be outdone by one of the more over teams in the match. Given their recent history, you can expect The OC to come face to face with The Viking Raiders.

They have also just started a feud with The Street Profits, so we could even see them get involved and cost The OC the match.

#4: Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler

Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode will look to gain back some momentum

Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler's RAW Tag Team Championship reign may have been incredibly short, but titles aside the duo have shown that they are incredibly capable of putting on a solid performance between the ropes.

In the long run, WWE should use this tandem as a platform to get Robert Roode over as a singles performer once again. For that to work, the team needs to stay relevant and not just slip into obscurity following their run with the titles.

Having them put on a strong performance and making it to the final few in this match is a good way to help them gain some of their momentum back, after their title loss on RAW.

#3: The Revival

The Revival have been quiet on SmackDown lately

The SmackDown Tag Team Champions have been fairly quiet since their relationship with Randy Orton dissolved, but the duo can always be relied on to put on a strong performance whenever they are in the ring together.

The Revival have impeccable chemistry with The New Day and it will be interesting to see how they do against teams like The Viking Raiders, if they end up facing them at Crown Jewel. Despite being SmackDown Tag Team Champions, this match will probably be used to set up their next feud, as they need no additional assistance getting over. Look for The Revival to impress, but come up just short.

#2: The New Day

Kofi Kingston has dropped back down the card already
Kofi Kingston has dropped back down the card already

After losing the WWE Championship in abrupt fashion to Brock Lesnar a few weeks ago on SmackDown, Kofi Kingston is already back in the SmackDown Tag Team Division.

The New Day's popularity is undeniable though and the trio can never be ruled out for a victory, especially on such a big stage.

Kofi Kingston is going to be the most interesting factor in the match. WWE could decide to give him a big victory to give him some momentum back, or they could use his status as a former WWE Champion to help get another team in the division over.

WWE could also show courage and finally pull the trigger on The New Day splitting up at the event, but given that they were just drafted to SmackDown and are a big money draw, it seems unlikely that is going to happen.

Look for the trio to come close in this match, but to fall just short to the #1 team on our list.

#1: The Viking Raiders

The Viking Raiders are still unbeaten in the WWE
The Viking Raiders are still unbeaten in the WWE

This week on RAW, The Viking Raiders finally picked up their first set of main roster titles by defeating Dolph Ziggler and Bobby Roode in an entertaining encounter.

The formerly named War Machine have been on a dominant streak lately and are still undefeated in WWE.

WWE can build this match around The Viking Raiders and make them look incredibly dominant. The Viking Raiders could be one of the earliest entrants in the match and steam-roll their way through several tag-teams before picking up the victory. Giving them a win over the likes of The New Day would go a long way in establishing them as a dominant force.

The RAW Tag Team Division has been less than ideal for quite some time now and having a dominant team like The Viking Raiders sitting at the top could really help the division get back on track. They could even have a post-match showdown between the duo and the soon to be returning AOP.
