WWE Draft 2019: 5 Superstars who should be on SmackDown

The upcoming draft can make or break careers
The upcoming draft can make or break careers

In less than 24 hours, the much-awaited WWE draft 2019 will commence on Friday night SmackDown Live. The Blue brand will host the first part of the WWE draft which will conclude on Monday Night RAW, next week.

Amidst several speculations, the WWE Universe is excited to find the fate of their favorite Superstars. To quote the company, "the WWE draft can completely alter any Superstar’s career."

Will Becky Lynch be the number 1 draft pick? Will she stay on the same brand as WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins? Will we see popular factions splitting up? From certain feuds ending abruptly to new rivalries being born, there’s a lot that will unfold this weekend.

In this article, we take a look at four WWE Superstars and a faction that should move to SmackDown tonight.

#5 Alexa Bliss

What's next for Little Miss Bliss?
What's next for Little Miss Bliss?

WWE Superstar Alexa Bliss has several Women’s Championship under her belt. She is charismatic and fans love to see her. Don’t get me wrong, she was awesome alongside Nikki Cross as the Tag Team Champions. However, it may be the time that Little Miss Bliss sets on a solo adventure once again.

Moving her to SmackDown will help elevate the women’s division on the Blue brand. We know that WWE are trying to bring both divisions at the same level but let’s be honest, the women’s roster on RAW is by far standing superior as compared to its counterpart.

Even if WWE creatives don’t want Bliss to have a solo run, she still has the option to be accompanied by Nikki Cross if she moves to SmackDown.

The plans concerning the Women’s Tag Team Championships is not clear and it will continue to appear on both brands. But in that case, how helpful will it for Bliss to stay by the side of her newfound best friend?

#4 The OC

Will they come back to the house that AJ Styles built?
Will they come back to the house that AJ Styles built?

Several rumors have stormed the internet which suggests that the New Day might move to Monday Night RAW. That could also be one of the reasons why Kofi Kingston lost his WWE Championship. And frankly, the draft would not be as exciting without few stables exchanging brands.

Hence, the only faction that can replace the New Day on SmackDown would be The OC. Both Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson make for an impressive Tag Team which can make a name for themselves on the blue brand. Additionally, the United States Champion AJ Styles is always welcomed in the 'house that he built.'

If The OC move to SmackDown, we might see the Intercontinental Championship moving back to RAW where it will find new challenges. The same applies to the United States Championship as the Phenomenal One might end up finding new rivals upon his return.

He is also a megastar who draws a lot of attention which puts him in the list of top Superstars that FOX TV has their eyes on.

#3 Bray Wyatt

Let him in!
Let him in!

Ever since the recently concluded Hell in a Cell pay-per-view, the WWE Universe has been skeptical about the future of the biggest sensation in pro-wrestling today. It is obvious that both USA Network and FOX would want The Fiend to be a part of their roster.

Some may argue that Bray Wyatt’s feud with Seth Rollins is not yet over but the question remains - how will they manage to have the crowd invested in the storyline once again after the bizarre end to their last meeting?

Maybe WWE are trying to protect Rollins against Wyatt but if that was the case, they shouldn’t have been booked to share the ring. The Fiend cannot be conquered easily and putting another talent over him will be a creative mistake.

Hence, the best way out for WWE is to move The Fiend to the Blue brand where he will hopefully find a better storyline that will meet with a deserving conclusion.

#2 Aleister Black

How long will he have to wait?
How long will he have to wait?

After several weeks, we finally saw Aleister Black inside the squared circle. He may have taken out the Singh Brothers but I am still happy that the creatives did not forget about one of the best talents they have on the main roster.

Black has often called out Superstars for a match but either he was never answered or none of his fights could turn into a full-fledged rivalry. With the upcoming draft, WWE have the option of recreating the magic around Black that was originally intended.

This may seem like a long shot but Black is one of the few WWE Superstars who appears to be a good challenger for The Fiend. If Bray Wyatt is moving to SmackDown, then sooner or later Black and The Fiend will lock horns.

These two Superstars can engage in a well-constructed storyline which will strike the right chord with the audience even if there is no title involved. Better yet, if their feud is engaging, they might end up meeting at WrestleMania for the final chapter.

#1 Sasha Banks

The Legit Boss needs challenges to thrive
The Legit Boss needs challenges to thrive

Ever since her return to WWE, Sasha Banks has been nothing short of incredible. She straight up went for ‘The Man’ Becky Lynch and her RAW Women’s Championship. After weeks of brawling, the two locked horns at Hell in a Cell inside the cage.

Even with Becky Lynch retaining her title, no one can discredit The Boss for the fight she put up inside the monstrous cage. During the build-up of their feud, it seemed like she would be the right person to end Lynch’s title reign. That alone speaks volumes about the influence that Banks carries every time she walks in for a match.

It would seem redundant to have her go against Becky Lynch once again unless WWE are planning to book a long-term feud. But again, WWE cannot afford to have her go against The Legit Boss time and save her in-ring persona. That would only lead to Banks being owned again and again. Hence, the only way out is to keep both these Superstar on two different brands.

At SmackDown, Banks can feud with the likes of Charlotte Flair and ultimately, Bayley. A rivalry between the two-real life ‘best-friends’ has been teased for long and now might be the best time to finally bring the plan into action.
