WWE Draft: 5 Reasons why Bray Wyatt/The Fiend should be drafted to SmackDown

Should Bray Wyatt be drafted to the Blue Brand?
Should Bray Wyatt be drafted to the Blue Brand?

WWE Premiere Week is officially in history books now as last week we witnessed some major events in the company with Monday Night RAW getting a new makeover, and Friday Night SmackDown debuting on FOX.

As important as the last week was for the company, this one falls into the same category as WWE Draft will take place this Friday on SmackDown (October 11), followed by next Monday on RAW (October 14).

The Internet has been buzzing for the past few days, with fans discussing the fate of their favorite Superstars after the draft. Among the many Superstars, one that has the attention of many is Bray Wyatt/The Fiend. Ever since adopting this new sadistic gimmick, Wyatt has been one of the hottest characters in all of the pro wrestling.

Now, with WWE Draft just a couple of days away from us, one of the biggest questions on everyone's mind is - which brand would Bray Wyatt be drafted to? The answer to that, as per my opinion, is SmackDown, and to support my case I'll present to you five reasons why he should be moved to the blue brand.

The comments section is all yours to let me know whether you agree or disagree with my opinion. Would you like to see Wyatt on Friday Night SmackDown?

#5 FOX would give a much bigger audience to the character

During the build-up to the premiere episode of SmackDown on FOX, Twitter was flooding with the videos of the casual audience reacting to the sudden sighting of a terrifying creature on their television screens - who was none other than The Fiend.

The marketing team of FOX decided to have blink-and-miss appearances of this sadistic alter ego of Bray Wyatt to get the fans interested in tuning in to Friday Night SmackDown to find out about him. It won't be wrong to say that they pretty much succeeded in their plans.

With the threat of a new competitor, WWE is looking to increase its audience base now than ever before. Drafting Wyatt to SmackDown could certainly help them accomplish the same since it would give the character of The Fiend a much bigger audience - in turn helping the TV ratings of the company.

#4 To save the Seth Rollins vs The Fiend match for a bigger stage

A bigger rematch awaits!
A bigger rematch awaits!

The feud between Seth Rollins and Bray Wyatt started as one of the most captivating ones of the year as The Beastslayer had an uphill task to defend his Universal Championship against the demonic creature that seems to be indestructible.

After a three-week-long build-up, that saw few thrilling segments with The Fiend scaring the hell out of the Universal Champion and all of us, the two finally collided inside Hell in a Cell last Sunday. In a match that many were expecting to end with The Fiend as the new Universal Champion, the weird ending left a sour taste in everyone's mouth - with many even calling it one of the worst endings ever.

With the company not looking very keen to put the title on Wyatt just yet, keeping him and Rollins in different brands moving forward could be a good strategy. This could all build to a rematch at a much bigger stage, and by that time WWE can have The Fiend feud with some more Superstars to establish the character in a better way.

With Seth most likely to remain on RAW as the Universal Champion, drafting Bray Wyatt to the Blue Brand looks to be the correct move.

#3 To have a Brock Lesnar vs Bray Wyatt feud down the line

The Beast Incarnate vs The Fiend!
The Beast Incarnate vs The Fiend!

While moving Wyatt to SmackDown would keep him away from Seth Rollins and the Universal Championship, the blue brand would be awaiting with many interesting opportunities for Bray Wyatt.

One of the biggest of them would be a feud against the WWE Champion, Brock Lesnar. The Beast Incarnate looks set to be leading the roster of the Blue Brand as the world champion on it and a program with him would skyrocket Wyatt to the top of the company immediately.

Bray has a long history with Lesnar, as the two were supposed to have a major feud in 2016 with the Wyatt Family even eliminating Brock from the 2016 Royal Rumble to set up the clash.

But the singles match announced between Wyatt and Lesnar at Roadblock (March 2016) was then changed to a handicap match with Luke Harper getting added to the mix. The Beast Incarnate came out victorious in that match, but the storyline was disappointing.

A move to SmackDown for Bray Wyatt could set up an amazing rivalry between Brock Lesnar and this new reincarnation as The Fiend. Lesnar might be The Beast, but can he handle the creature who was unaffected by 11 stomps? Remember, it is the same stomp through which Seth Rollins defeated Brock twice.

The Fiend is here to "hurt" those who have "hurt" Bray in the past!

#2 New Production Set, New Cameras, New Feel

The production quality will be very high on FOX
The production quality will be very high on FOX

According to WrestleVote, WWE will be shooting Friday Night SmackDown on FOX with special new cameras - much more advanced than the ones being used on RAW.

As witnessed last week, SmackDown debuted on FOX with an entirely new and impressive set. That was not all as the pyro, fires, and lasers made a return to the show as well. The broadcast also featured different camera angles as opposed to the ones we are used to watching on RAW and SmackDown in the past.

The different texture to the video is supposed to give a more cinematic feel to the product - somewhat similar to the one in the WWE Network documentaries.

One of the biggest attractions about "The Fiend" is the way his entrances, surprise blackout attacks, and visuals are presented on Live TV through the amazing production work of the WWE team. Adding these new cameras and set to the act, they could enhance the already impressive entrance of The Fiend - which many consider being one of the best in recent memory.

If Wyatt does get drafted to the Blue Brand, I'll be dearly waiting to see his entrance as The Fiend with the new technologically-advanced equipment coming into action.

#1 Friday Night SmackDown might be built as the A-Show now

Friday Night SmackDown will be the new A-show!
Friday Night SmackDown will be the new A-show!

It has been a constant debate as to which of the two main roster brands is supreme over the other. Before SmackDown started airing live in 2016, it was, of course, Monday Night RAW which was the A-show.

After the initial brand split in July of 2016, fans were expecting the then SmackDown Live to take over RAW and get established as the premium show. While there were glimpses of the same during the initial months, with the Blue Brand having better storylines and action than the red one, the recent times have seen SmackDown again become the B-Show, so much so that it lost the 2018 Survivor Series battle to RAW with a clean sweep.

But all that looks to change now as the move to FOX and its rebranding as Friday Night SmackDown has many believed that the company would build it as the A-Show again. If the debut show last week is anything to go by, Vince and company are certainly looking to hit it out of the park with the ratings of the first show being nearly 4 Million.

The hottest act in WWE, The Fiend, needs to be on the brand that would be the primary focus going forward. He can be one of the biggest stars of the roster and help WWE tighten its grip on the wrestling industry by attracting a larger audience to the show.
