WWE Extreme Rules takes over ECW Country this weekend and the main event is one of the most stacked matches of the night. Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins decided to make their relationship public and ever since then they have become a target as a couple on WWE TV. This weekend they will be forced to defend their Universal and Raw Women's Championship in one match against Baron Corbin and Lacey Evans were the team that gets the pin takes both the titles.
This opens up a number of issues for the real-life couple since either Becky Lynch or Seth Rollins could cost the other person their Championship inadvertently. There are so many combustible elements in this match and the additional factor here is that Brock Lesnar could make an appearance as well.
#5 Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch retain their Championships
Lynch and Rollins are a popular couple on WWE TV at present which is why it's highly unlikely that the company would put them in the position where a loss would lead to a break down of their relationship.
Rollins defeated Brock Lesnar to become Universal Champion back at WrestleMania and has already defeated Baron Corbin numerous times, which is why this is his last chance to try and take Raw's biggest prize from The Architect.
Lacey Evans is someone that the company is looking to push forward in the coming months since she's impressing many backstage officials, but a Raw Women's Championship victory seems a little bit too soon for the former NXT star. Rollins and Lynch could be pushed so much more as a team heading into SummerSlam, which means that the most likely scenario here is a win for The Power Couple.
#4 Seth Rollins costs Becky Lynch the Raw Women's Championship
Seth Rollins has already defeated Baron Corbin a number of times over the past year, but this time will be different. Given the fact that this is an Extreme Rules match it means that the men can fight the women as well since there is no disqualification, so Becky Lynch could distract Rollins and he could then be hit with an End of Days and both the stars would then lose their titles.
Corbin and Evans would then pick up the Universal and Raw Women's Championships based off the one pin much like how Charlotte Flair lost her SmackDown Women's Championship to Becky Lynch back at WrestleMania. Rollins costing Lynch her title would definitely add a rift to their relationship, but it would be an interesting storyline for the company moving forward.
#3 Becky Lynch costs Seth Rollins the Universal Championship
Seth Rollins overcame The Beast Incarnate in order to become Universal Champion, after years of pushing to be the top dog on Monday Night Raw. It would be a sad sight to behold if Rollins has fought so valiantly ever since WrestleMania to keep hold of his Championship and it's Becky Lynch being pinned that costs him the title.
Baron Corbin is someone who is thought of very highly backstage, which could be why he keeps being pushed into the Championship picture but could he be seen as a feasible Universal Champion? Paul Heyman's vision for Monday Night Raw could have Baron Corbin on top, but how would this benefit his client, who is still gunning for that rematch with Seth Rollins after the attack that he suffered at the hands of The Beastslayer in Saudi Arabia.
#2 Lacey Evans and Baron Corbin fail to co-exist
Lacey Evans and Baron Corbin have come together as a couple because of their mutual hatred of Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch. Evans definitely isn't scared of The Beast Slayer and has made a point of attempting to cost him the Universal Championship before. That being said, Evans and Corbin are not seen as a unit as strong as Lynch and Rollins since they are a real-life couple that will back each other up.
If the match gets really tough regardless of what is on the line then the other person could decide that it's too much for them. Either that or it could come down to the two stars coming to blows if one of them is pinned by Rollins or Lynch and they then realize that was their last chance to become Champion on Monday Night Raw.
#1 Brock Lesnar returns and cashes in mid-match
Paul Heyman returned to Monday Night Raw this past week and stated that Brock Lesnar could be looking at Extreme Rules as the best place to cash in his contract. This could be Heyman playing mind games with both Seth Rollins and Kofi Kingston since they both have huge matches ahead of them, or it could be accurate.
If Rollins is in the position where he could lose his title to Baron Corbin then that would be the perfect time for Brock Lesnar to cash in his Money in the Bank contract and win back the title that Rollins has held ever since WrestleMania. Extreme Rules is in ECW Country, so WWE will definitely be wanting to think outside the box for this one in order to send the fans home happy.
