WWE Hell In A Cell 2018 saw several subtle moments that viewers might have missed

This year's WWE Hell In A Cell Pay-Per-View saw many ups & downs. The biggest takeaway from the PPV is (a bearded) Brock Lesnar returning & wreaking havoc during the main event.

However, there are some subtle moments hidden throughout this PPV. So without any further ado, let's get right into it.

Angry Fans Chant Obscenities After Hell in a Cell Went Off the Air

With every WWE PPV, there are always a certain section of fans left dissatisfied. However, this situation escalated one step further last night as seen below:

Bryan Alvarez also noted that the WWE had to rush-off the air as fast as possible so that viewers at home could not hear the chants.

This fan reaction is most likely geared towards the fact that another referee had to stop the match after things took an extreme turn during Hell In A Cell's main-event.

Jeff Hardy Misdirects Fans Who Paid Close Attention

Last night, during Jeff Hardy's entrance to kick-off the show, Hardy made sure to size up the enormous HIAC structure with his own eyes.

However, at one point during his entrance, Hardy briefly looks upwards, right towards the edge of the structure from where wrestlers have usually jumped from in previous instances. To make this sequence more obvious, even the camera-man points the camera to where Hardy is looking.

While The Charismatic Enigma did sway & fall down from hanging on to the structure from the inside- This brief moment tricks viewers paying close-attention into thinking that Jeff Hardy will be the one to jump off the structure's edge, which to be fair, was what people were initially expecting going into this PPV.

Footholes Gave Away Mild Spoilers

The foot-holes on the HIAC Structure might have given away some mild SPOILERS...

For those unaware- Footholes are the noticeable gaps easily visible on the HIAC structure which are used to ascend or descend from the cell itself.

Many might have noticed that there was an increasing amount of footholes towards the side where the main broadcast tables were located. This gave away the fact that someone was indeed going to be climbing atop the structure & most definitely would be involved in taking a bump in the process.

While many were expecting Jeff Hardy to take that "huge" bump, it turned out that Seth Rollins & Dolph Ziggler would do the honors.

Mick Foley's 'Special Guest Referee' Attire Was A Throwback To 2006...

Mick Foley's attire is quite peculiar at first sight, especially when he was a referee last night. However, some hardcore fans might recall that Foley's 'special-guest referee' attire is very similar to the one he wore as a special guest referee to officiate John Cena vs. Edge way back in 2006.

Noelle Foley Was In The Audience!

While the WWE did not officially acknowledge it, Mick Foley's daughter Noelle Foley was sitting in the audience all along.

She can be spotted sitting right behind Corey Graves in the picture above. It might come off as a surprise to many readers, but there have been several instances where celebrities or well-known figures can be clearly seen sitting behind the commentary desk without being acknowledged by WWE throughout the whole show!

Drew McIntyre Delivers One Of His Best Impromptu Quotes Ever

Expect to see this end up on Botchamania...

Dolph Ziggler & Drew McIntyre retained their RAW Tag Team Titles against the Shield during the Hell In A Cell PPV last night. However, many viewers might have missed one of McIntyre's best improvised moments occurring during the match itself.

You see, at one point, McIntyre covered Seth Rollins for the three-count, which was interrupted by Dean Ambrose two seconds later. This unexpectedly angered McIntyre himself, who sat up immediately & went:

"Are you kidding me, ref? Disqualify his arse!"

Underrated Corey Graves Moments Of The Night...

Even during the lowest points throughout the show, Corey Graves made sure to keep the viewers interested in some form or another.

For example, Daniel Bryan & Brie Bella vs. The Miz & Maryse wasn't the best match of the night. However, Corey Graves highlighted the ridiculousness of the whole scenario by saying:

"Maryse is an underrated in-ring technician..."

He also kept in character by taking shots at Byron Saxton & being in denial about the 'IT kicks', as well as quipping about Daniel Bryan & Brie Bella's "marital problems" throughout this bout.

One other contrasting "Corey Graves Moment" occurred after Ronda Rousey vs. Alexa Bliss finished. We all know how Mr. Graves likes to worship "The Goddess" Alexa Bliss on RAW. However, it seems as if Graves finally came to terms with Alexa's loss, as Corey himself stated- "Please don't tell her I said this, but I think Alexa Bliss got a little over-confident..."

Good old Corey.

Daniel Bryan Takes An Unnecessary Risk...

The Diving Headbutt is an aerial move that has a lot of stigmas attached to it. Whether those stigmas are related to WWE's buried past history or the risks that come along with it in the first place, it became pretty clear that Daniel Bryan need not include this move in his bag of tricks after what drove him to 'retirement' in the past.

However, as readers can see above, Daniel Bryan unsuccessfully attempted a Diving Headbutt from the top-rope during last night's HIAC PPV.

You can label it as "daredevilry" on Bryan's part, but it would be far more profitable if everyone's favorite underdog attempted to execute risks like this on a far more important event as compared to a mixed tag-team matchup.

Hell In A Cell Matches w/ Mick Foley: Triple vs. Kevin Nash (2003)/Roman Reigns vs. Braun Strowman (2018)

Michael Cole makes an comparison...
Michael Cole makes a comparison...

At one point during last night's main-event, commentators were debating whether Mick Foley might have "accidentally" counted to three or not. This prompted Michael Cole to mention another Hell In A Cell match - Triple H vs. Kevin Nash at Bad Blood 2003.

Mick Foley was also the special guest referee for the aforementioned match way back in 2003. While not too similar at first glance, Mick Foley had indeed involved himself in the 2003 match.

As for last night, Foley might not have stopped either Braun Strowman or Roman Reigns from going to extreme lengths, but let's just say that Mr. Foley's judgment just might have cost Roman Reigns the title during the initial stages of the match.

Security Confiscates "All In" & "Anti-Charlotte" Fan Signs

As you can see above, Twitter User @adam4L had his sign confiscated when he had to settle for the Hell In A Cell PPV instead of All In.

Another Twitter user, @kimberlasskick (a Becky Lynch fan) had her sign confiscated. The sign was a knock at former SmackDown Womens' Champion Charlotte Flair, & it read "Boo The Woo".

Mick Foley Approves The Table!

Table Is Good
Table Is Good

While the main-event might have turned your smile into a frown, one contrasting moment occurred when Roman Reigns procured a table from under the ring.

As if Reigns needed any affirmation while using the table, Foley was quick to approve by commenting - "Table's good! Table's good!"

A referee is supposed to officiate everything impartially, but when Foley sees a hint of chaos, everything is A-Okay!

Foley is Good (God)...
