WWE Hell in a Cell 2019: 4 things that should not happen

WWE rolls into Sacramento, California for their hotly anticipated Hell in a Cell pay-per-view tonight. Interestingly, just four matches have been announced for the show since the company has had quite a busy "Premiere Week" but two of those matches are going to be taking place inside the Hell in a Cell structure.

Seth Rollins defends his Universal Championship inside Hell in a Cell against The Fiend Bray Wyatt, Becky Lynch defends her RAW Women's Championship against Sasha Banks inside the structure, whilst Charlotte will be looking to become a 10-time Women's Champion when she takes on Bayley for the SmackDown Women's Championship.

The only other match that has been announced will see Erick Rowan and Luke Harper team up to take on Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns after the feud between the four men became one of the headline rivalries on SmackDown Live.

Whilst there are many interesting things that could happen at Hell in a Cell, there are some that definitely shouldn't happen.

#4 R-Truth shouldn't regain the 24/7 Championship

Carmella was able to regain her 24/7 Championship from rapper Marshmello on the Season Premiere of SmackDown Live on FOX on Friday night, but given how light the show is looking at present, it's obvious that WWE will do a lot of filling with random matches and segments.

R-Truth seems to be alright with Carmella taking his title, but it's only a matter of time before the 19-time 24/7 Champion tries to take back the title that many believe is now rightly his. Carmella was the first full-time female wrestler to lift the title and she deserves more time to show what she can do as Champion.

#3 Charlotte Flair should not become a 10-time Champion

Charlotte Flair was able to force Bayley to tap to the Figure Eight on Friday Night SmackDown which has now lead to her being granted another SmackDown Women's Championship match against Bayley tonight.

Charlotte was already defeated by The Hugger at Clash of Champions when she was given the chance to become a 10-time Champion and it was hoped that because she was defeated clean, she wouldn't be given a rematch.

Charlotte has dominated the Women's Division over the past four years and has broken all of the records that the likes of Trish Stratus and Lita made throughout their tenures. The Queen is already a nine-time Champion, she doesn't need to become a 10-time Champion at the expense of Bayley.

It's hoped that if Bayley retains tonight at Hell in a Cell then finally someone else can step into the Women's Championship picture rather than Charlotte continuing to dominate and seemingly take the TV time away from many other women in the locker room like Ember Moon, Asuka, Liv Morgan, Carmella or even Mandy Rose.

#2 The Hell in a Cell match shouldn't be able to end in disqualification

WWE should not change the rules to allow Seth Rollins to retain

Last night WWE decided to release a poll online that asked the WWE Universe what they believed the finish of tonight's main event match would be. Seth Rollins takes on The Fiend inside Hell in a Cell in a match for the Universal Championship, and many believe that Bray Wyatt could be the one who comes out on top in his first World Championship opportunity on pay-per-view since WrestleMania 33.

The poll interestingly marked one of the options for the finish of the match to be a disqualification. Almost every member of the WWE Universe should know that the Hell in a Cell match can not end via disqualification since it's a no disqualification match that has historically only ended via pinfall or submission.

It is now thought that given all of the pressure that WWE is under because of the rise of AEW, the company could be looking for the shock factor here and could decide to have an ending to the match that doesn't actually make any sense. Hopefully, this isn't the case.

#1 Seth Rollins shouldn't retain the Universal Championship

Seth Rollins has been WWE's poster boy for a number of years now and given the fact that he won the 2019 Royal Rumble and was then able to defeat Brock Lesnar at both WrestleMania and SummerSlam it's highly unlikely that WWE will be willing to allow Bray Wyatt to defeat Rollins in his first Championship match as The Fiend.

This is also The Fiend's first Hell in a Cell match, but given the backing that the character has received over the past few months since The Firefly Fun House first debuted on WWE TV, the WWE Universe are expecting him to emerge from the Hell in a Cell structure as a World Champion.

WWE has booked themselves into a corner here, either Bray Wyatt becomes Champion and Seth Rollins loses his title, or the WWE Universe could boo the end of the show. The fact that the match is inside Hell in a Cell means that there needs to be a clean finish as well, which could be why disqualification has come back into the conversation, either way, this match may not be a straight forward one.
