Much was made of the men and women of WWE working on Christmas recently. All said and done, they will all assemble at the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois for a special Holiday edition of RAW.

Do not expect this to be a throwaway episode at all. We're on the road to the Royal Rumble, and therefore, we have reason to believe that WWE will leave no stone unturned. This should be an eventful episode, that the whole family can wholeheartedly enjoy.

To gear you up for the action that should unfold shortly, we've whipped up a RAW preview. Let us know in the comments below, what you think will unfold on the show.

Here's what Santa will bring you, in just a few hours on RAW.

#5- Monsters walk free on Christmas

How will the saga of the Number 1 contenders unfold?
How will the fearsome saga of the Number 1 contenders unfold?

As explosive as the two Royal Rumble matches at the pay-per-view should be, do not forget that a match of gargantuan proportions awaits us at the pay-per-view too! Brock Lesnar will defend his Universal Championship, against not one but two massive challengers.

Yes, two men who dwarf even the Beast Incarnate. Two men who've had a rivalry that has stretched out for over two months now. Two men who are hardly even men, they're the closest thing to monsters that the world has ever seen.

With the Universal Champion only being a part-timer, these men have to carry the program on their broad shoulders. Anyone who steps into their path will be absolutely pulverized for sure.

What do Kane and Braun Strowman have in store for us on the Christmas edition of RAW, this week?

#4 What's next for the Top Guys?

Imagine if the best tag team in the world enter into a program with Cesaro and Sheamus!
Imagine if the best tag team in the world enter into a program with Cesaro and Sheamus!

Anyone that's followed NXT for any length of time knows that Dash and Dawson cannot have a bad match, even if they try their absolute best. The Revival revived the interest of many in the WWE Universe, back into the wonderful art of tag team wrestling, once again.

While they were plagued with a variety of unfortunate injuries, they're back in the fold once again. With the injury that Dean Ambrose sustained recently, it is safe to say that the Lunatic will not be feuding with The Bar, for a while now. Does this mean that The Revival can lock horns with Cesaro and Sheamus then?

Imagine the sheer in-ring quality of the matches if these two teams do enter into a feud together. Without even seeing the match, we can certify that it'll be a definite 'Match of the Year' contender.

This also begs the question, what is next for the 'Kingslayer' Seth Rollins?

#3 Retribution from The Shield

Here's another possibility that could play out on RAW!
Here's another possibility that could play out on RAW

Roman Reigns and Samoa Joe have been at each other's throats for a while now. Now they have a real bone to pick, considering that Samoa Joe injured Roman Reigns' best friend, both on screen and in real life, 'The Lunatic', Dean Ambrose.

The attack backstage, in the trainer's room, may just be the impetus that Roman Reigns needs to take his feud with Joe to the next level. These two Samoans can have an explosive program for the Intercontinental Championship. They will definitely elevate the championship when they trade blows!

#2 Who's ready to rumble?

Which other performers will throw their hat into the ring?
Which other performers will throw their hat into the ring?

The Royal Rumble certainly is a very big deal indeed for WWE's men and women. Last week, we saw Elias announce himself as the first contender in the Royal Rumble match. This week, we should see more contenders rise to the challenge.

Various storylines could resolve themselves at the Royal Rumble match if they are booked in the right manner. The banter between Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt could end in Hardy's awakening during the huge Rumble event. So could the tensions brewing between Rhyno and Heath Slater, right now.

Any guesses as to who will announce their participation in this big match? Let us know in the comments below.

#1 A special guest is coming to RAW

And his name is....Johhhhnnnnnnnnnnn Ceeeeeennnnnaaaaaa
And his name is....Johhhhnnnnnnnnnnn Ceeeeeennnnnaaaaaa

Whether you like him or hate him, it is impossible to deny that every time John Cena returns to RAW, it is almost always a big deal. Cena returns for the first time since Survivor Series. What surprise does he have in store for the entire WWE Universe?

Despite Roman Reigns' involvement with The Bar and Samoa Joe, could he be the one to answer Reigns' Intercontinental championship open challenge? Obviously, it's hard to believe WWE would give away a match of this level on free TV, but time and again, WWE does like to pull off the big surprise.

We do not know, at this point in time. And we're just as curious to find out as you are. Join us in a few hours for Live Coverage of this big event!

As for you, we wish you a Merry Christmas. Hope you get everything you want and more when Santa Claus slides down your chimney.

Be warned that Santa probably cannot make Finn Balor the Universal Champion.
