What's the story?

Alexa Bliss spoke about a variety of topics with Sam Roberts, quite recently. We thank Wrestlingnews.co for certain transcripts from the said interview.

Bliss addressed the fact that The WWE Universe thinks that she's not as gifted in the ring as the Four Horsewomen are. She explained why she did not do flashy moves, during the course of the interview.

In case you didn't know...

Alexa Bliss is the RAW Women's Champion and someone who has been constantly criticized for not being deserving of the title.

While she has her own share of fans, her detractors have compared her to the Four Horsewomen and said that she pales in the ring, compared to them.

Bliss opened up during this interview and spoke about why she does not execute exciting moves like the other women.

The heart of the matter

Alexa Bliss spoke at length about why she holds back in the WWE ring:

Being a bad guy, I try not to do a lot of flashy moves and a lot of, I guess, good guy skills because that’s not my character and I feel like people take that as, ‘oh, well, she’s not as skilled as Sasha [Banks] or Bayley, Charlotte [Flair], or Becky [Lynch].

Moreover, she added how this inspires and motivates her to do better:

I take that as a challenge. I’m like, ‘well, I can do all these things. I chose not to because I don’t have to. My character isn’t supposed to be flashy and be over-the-top. I’m supposed to be dirty in the ring.

What's next?

Alexa Bliss will not be a part of the upcoming Women's Royal Rumble match. This is because she's the reigning champion. However, the winner of that match could certainly get a shot at her belt.

Author's take

People who've read my other articles know that I'm on Team Alexa Bliss. Not only is she gorgeous, I find her incredibly talented as well.

I feel that we've only seen a fraction of what she can do in the ring thus far, and the best is yet to come.
