WWE News: Becky Lynch gives a reason for her WWE absence, says she had 'something removed'

Lynch was out for about 2 weeks

WWE Smackdown Women’s Champion, Becky Lynch, returned to action this past weekend, and appeared on last night’s edition of SmackDown Live! as well. Lynch was out of action for about two weeks, due to an undisclosed health condition, which was not related to anything physical or from the ring.

This undisclosed health condition, also caused her to miss her scheduled match against Alexa Bliss for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at No Mercy.

Lynch recently appeared at the Wizard World Comic Con in Tulsa, Oklahoma, this past Friday, where she was asked about her “injury”. She revealed that she had “something removed”, but is completely fine now. You can have a look at her appearance at the event here:

She also spoke to Rob Leigh of Talk Sports, where she stated:

“I had to go into the ER, but it is all good, I got better within a few days.”

Lynch also stated that she was capable of returning within a few days, but the WWE kept her out of action as a safety measure. Lynch is one of the top stars headlining the Women’s division along with Nikki Bella and Natalya on SmackDown Live!

"I wanted to be back on the road because they kept me out a little bit longer," Lynch noted.

"I just want to get back in there as soon as possible."

Lynch’s return to SmackDown Live! was cut short with the arrival of Alexa Bliss which resulted in a brawl and concluded with Bliss standing tall. You can see the entire segment right here :

Becky Lynch has had a good run with the championship so far, after winning it at Backlash in a Six Pack Challenge match, following an unsuccessful challenge for the WWE Women’s title at Wrestlemania in a historic Triple threat match against Charlotte and Sasha Banks.
