What's the story?

The WWE Royal Rumble 2019 got off to an explosive start as Becky Lynch took on Asuka for the SmackDown Women's Championship in an absolutely incredible match.

While Lynch lost the match, some viewers were left bemused midway through when apparent "technical problems" killed the feed - much like on this week's RAW when Sasha Banks suffered a wardrobe malfunction - and left them with a temporary black screen.

Well, it's now been revealed that a wardrobe malfunction saw the switch-off by a very switched-on WWE production team, according to The Daily Star.

In case you didn't know...

Last week's RAW saw Sasha Banks team up with Bayley to take on Ronda Rousey and Natalya and a blackout caused confusion during the match after some quick reflexes from WWE's production team spared Banks' blushes and kept the product PG.

Several viewers outside of North America saw the moment where it all went wrong - with Banks' trunks coming down to leave her exposed in front of the entire WWE Universe.

The heart of the matter

Becky Lynch and Asuka opened tonight's Royal Rumble event in a match for the WWE SmackDown Women's Championship - and they put on an absolutely incredible match. After a near fall, though, WWE Network viewers encountered a black screen - reminiscent of that during RAW last week mentioning the aforementioned Sasha Banks incident.

This time around, though, it was Becky Lynch who suffered a malfunction when the brassiere area of her attire left her chest exposed and left the WWE production team scrambling to keep the product PG.

Ringside News have posted the footage of the moment in question below and, while we won't be posting the images, The Sun has run the story and posted the moment that caused all the chaos here.

What's next?

Well, it would seem like these blackouts are becoming the "norm" - but two in a week is just bad coincidence, you'd have to think.
