WWE News: Brock Lesnar bags a huge role in Sylvester Stallone's next movie

This could be a big deal for Brock Lesnar...

What's the story?

WWE is known for being a supreme launching pad for pro wrestlers looking to branch out into other avenues of the entertainment business.

Sylvester Stallone started the Rocky franchise in 1976 and has continued to turn it into a highly acclaimed series of films. Creed tells the story of Rocky Balboa for a new generation and Creed 2 will soon start production with Brock Lesnar in an important role.

In case you didn't know...

Rocky IV bad guy Ivan Drago apparently had a son named Victor. This upcoming Creed film will feature Drago's offspring and there doesn't seem to be a better guy to play a monster in the boxing ring than the "Beast Incarnate" who has already dominated in the squared circle and the Octagon.

The heart of the matter

Sylvester Stallone had a couple big announcements concerning the upcoming Creed 2 film today. He first made a statement regarding who would be taking the helm of this upcoming project. Stephen Caple Jr will be directing the new film and Sylvester Stallone seemed very sure about this decision.

"The character of Adonis Creed reflects this generation, and I believe it is important to have a director who is part of it , that is why I think we are Lucky to have Stephen Caple ,Jr .
A wonderful new talent take over The directorial chores and make the story as relatable as possible… He and Michael B Jordon will deliver a knockout!"

But Stallone's biggest announcement came in the form of an Instagram post where he announced that legendary tough Russain Ivan Drago's son Victor Drago will be played by Brock Lesnar in the upcoming picture.

What's next?

This announcement is interesting indeed but Lesnar has an incredible look. Therefore he will probably play a very believable tough guy in this film.

Author's take

This role for Lesnar might just result in more acting roles to come for "The Beast Incarnate". It will be very interesting to see him act in a move where he doesn't have an advocate. But it would be even more excellent if Paul Heyman could adopt a Russain accent and play Drago's mouthpiece.
