WWE News: Brock Lesnar set to return to Raw next week

Brock Lesnar expected to lose the Universal title to Roman Reigns later this month
The Beast Incarnate will return to TV next week

What's the story?

As announced by WWE this past week on Raw, Brock Lesnar is set to return to WWE TV once again, on next week's episode of Raw. This will be Lesnar's first appearance after beating Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 34.

In case you didn’t know…

Lesnar and Reigns arguably had one of the best build ups to their feud, heading into the main event at WrestleMania 34 for the Universal Championship.

With rumours surrounding Lesnar's return to UFC later this year, Reigns was largely expected to win the bout and become the Universal Champion.

However, The Beast Incarnate defeated Reigns to retain his Championship, leaving him battered and bloodied in the ring after busting open The Big Dog with hard elbows to the head.

The heart of the matter

After his shocking victory over Roman Reigns at WrestleMania, it was announced the next day that Brock Lesnar had signed a new deal with WWE. It is rumoured that this deal might even include allowing Lesnar to have one UFC fight.

In any case, the decision to have Lesnar retain was supposedly one of the conditions in his new contract.

Now, for the first time since his victory, The Beast is set to return to Raw next week. It will be interesting to see how WWE plan to carry forward the feud between Lesnar and Reigns until the Greatest Royal Rumble event, where the two men will collide inside a Steel Cage.

Since the last two weeks, Samoa Joe has been coming out to confront Reigns so, it is possible that he also might be thrown into the mix next week when Lesnar and Reigns come face-to-face.

What's next?

Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns come face-to-face next week, just four days before they clash inside a Steel Cage at the Greatest Royal Rumble, on April 27th, for the Universal Championship.

Author's take

It is sure to be an intense confrontation next week between Reigns and Lesnar. Their feud before WrestleMania was very well built-up, in my opinion, and it is interesting to see what WWE plans to do next week.
