What's the story?

Recently, NXT Superstar Matt Riddle posted a video on his official Twitter account, threatening to beat up Chris Jericho.

Jericho has now responded to Riddle's threat by referring to him as a minor league guy and grinning at the camera just like how Riddle did in his recent tweet, in which he had disrespected several former WCW wrestlers including Jericho.

In case you didn't know...

Over the course of the past few months, NXT Superstar Matt Riddle has feuded with several former Superstars on social media. It all began with WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg's return for a match with The Undertaker at Super ShowDown. Riddle went on to call Goldberg the worst wrestler in the business. When fellow Hall of Famer Booker T commented on Riddle and criticized his in-ring skills, Riddle referred to him as "an old WCW wrestler".

Lance Storm's cheeky jibe at Riddle's habit of not wearing shoes didn't sit well with the King of Bros. Additionally, Riddle didn't like how Chris Jericho called him a kid and told him to learn to respect in-ring veterans.

The heart of the matter

As reported by us before, Riddle had addressed all of these past WCW Superstars in a tweet, which ended with him indicating to beat them up. Riddle followed it up with another tweet, which consists of a short video. The clip features Riddle talking about how Chris Jericho is 'soft' and that "he'll beat the s--t out of Jericho".

Jericho has now responded to Riddle's threat by posting a short clip that's similar to the one Riddle had posted a while ago. He proceeded to refer to Riddle as a "minor league wannabe bro".

What's next?

Jericho has spoken his mind, and it would be interesting to see what Riddle has to say about it. Meanwhile, stay tuned as there's a chance we will hear from Booker T, Storm, or Goldberg too.
