WWE News: Dave Meltzer confirms that Chris Hero's tweet didn't refer to him

Chris Hero reported to return to the WWE

This past Sunday, Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that Chris Hero would be returning to the WWE. Hero upon hearing this took to Twitter to vent his feelings.

It's still yet unclear whether Hero was referring to the rumours of him going back to the WWE, or taking shots at Wrestling Observer Newsletter's reporting. Dave Meltzer tweeted out a message on Twitter confirming that Hero was not talking about WON in his tweet.

Hero was signed by the WWE, after passing a private tryout. He debuted under the name Kassius Ohno in the February of 2012 at WWE's developmental show Florida Championship Wrestling aka FCW, which is now known as NXT.

However, a year later, Hero got fired from the WWE, due to his lack of commitment to physical conditioning programs. After his release, Hero said that he enjoyed working with the company and further added that the door would always be open for him.

"In my exit interview, they said we would take a little while and revisit later on and see if things change"

After his departure, Hero started in several independents promotions such as Dragon Gate USA, Pro Wrestling Guerilla, Ring of Honor and EVOLVE, among others. Although now out of shape, Hero's in-ring skills are right up there with pro-wrestlers like AJ Styles, and Ricochet to name a few, and now that WWE is opening up towards accepting wrestlers like Kevin Owens, there may be chances of Hero returning.

Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer reported that Hero, will not be going to the main roster, but is expected to re-join NXT and wrestle under the name, Kassius Ohno.
