The Stinger will team up with an old adversary for Axxess

What's the story?

This is terrible news for fans of The Lunatic Fringe. If you were travelling all the way to New Orleans to meet Dean Ambrose at the WrestleMania Axxess Premium VIP Autograph Session, his appearance has now been cancelled.

Instead, fans can get to interact with WWE Hall of Famers Ric Flair and Sting. The Woo-some Twosome will replace The Lunatic.

In case you didn't know...

Dean Ambrose was going all guns blazing as a member of The Shield, when an injury forced the faction to disperse for good. It was believed that he would be out for nine months, following the same.

As for Sting and Ric Flair, while both men are retired, they're still loved by the WWE Universe. They love to show up and sign autographs, whenever they can.

The heart of the matter

This was the official announcement from the company:

Unfortunately, Dean Ambrose will not be able to appear at the WrestleMania Axxess Premium VIP Autograph Session on Sunday, April 8, at 10 a.m. However, we are pleased to informthe WWE Universe that WWE Hall of Famers Sting and Ric Flair will appear at this Premium VIP Autograph Session. Your existing Dean Ambrose Premium VIP ticket will still grant you access to the Premium VIP Autograph Session on Sunday, April 8, at 10 a.m. with Sting and Flair.

Ambrose was reportedly at Birmingham, Alabama to repair his triceps tear. We send the best wishes to Ambrose for a speedy recovery.

What's next?

Fans are going to have a blast, no matter what. You can't find two more worthy superstars than Ric Flair and Sting, to sign autographs. Plus, the excitement of WrestleMania weekend is always infectious.

Author's take

I hope this doesn't mean bad news for the Lunatic Fringe. I hope he comes back as a heel, and gets a new lease on his existing character.

Some time away may actually do Ambrose some good.
