WWE News: Former UFC star Shayna Baszler undergoing WWE tryouts this week

Shayna is known as the ‘Only Living Breathing Rockstar in the history of MMA”

WWE has done an appreciative job in elevating their Women's division in the past 12 months and it appears that the company is looking to take Women's wrestling seen on the WWE TV to an even higher level in the upcoming times.

According to the reports from Squared Circle Sirens former UFC fighter, Shayna Baszler will be heading to WWE performance centre sometimes during this week for WWE tryouts.

While this alone doesn't mean that WWE would definitely sign the former MMA professional, considering the fact that they need someone to fulfill the void in NXT created with the main roster debut of Bayley and seeing the impact the former UFC star has made on the independent circuit since her professional wrestling debut last year it is more than likely that Shayna would receive an offer from the company.

It's notable here Baszler is no stranger to the WWE Performance centre located in Orlando Florida because she has helped the former WWE Diva's Champion Nikki Bella while she was recovering from her neck injury this past summer. The interaction between the two stars is also expected to be featured in the upcoming episodes of Total Divas.

WWE has made some big changes in their Women's division in the past year and has made the division more wrestling centred unlike the previous approach of hiring Diva's based on their looks.

In the process, we have seen the likes of Charlotte, Sasha Banks, Backy Lynch and most recently Bayley making a big impact on the roster and dominating the women's division ever since the reintroduction of the coveted Women's Championship which replaced the Diva's championship at this past WrestleMania.

So now hiring someone as Baszler who has plenty of experience in combat sport would surely help the officials to take the wrestling aspects of the show to an even higher level.

Shayna Baszler made her MMA debut back in 2006. Over the years she has had a mixed record in MMA. She lost in her first fight but then went on to win a couple of bouts and has competed in promotions such as Elite XC and Invicta Fighting Championships.

She made her UFC debut back on August 30, 2014, where she lost to Bethe Correia and after another loss, she suffered at the hands of Amanda Nunes in March 2015 she was released from her UFC contract.

She made her professional wrestling debut back in September 2015 where she defeated Cheerleader Melissa and In her short wrestling career, she has made appearances for companies like ROH among others. She recently won Intense Wrestling's Women's Championship at the Premier XIII event and is the current reigning Women's Champion of the promotion.
