WWE News: Nia Jax comments on Ronda Rousey possibly signing with WWE

In a recent interview with Mirror UK, Nia Jax weighed in her opinions on the upcoming Women’s Royal Rumble match, Ronda Rousey possibly signing with WWE, and which superstar from WWE’s past she would like to see return in the Rumble match.

In case you didn’t know…

With the historic Women’s Royal Rumble match set to take place later this month, Nia Jax will clearly be one of the favourites to win. Ever since making her main roster debut, Jax has been one of the most dominant female stars in the entire WWE roster alongside the likes of Asuka and Charlotte Flair. However, despite terrorizing the entire WWE women’s roster for the past few months, Jax is yet to win the big one, that is, the Raw Women’s Championship.

During her interview with Mirror, Jax talked about a host of topics including the possibility of Ronda Rousey jumping ship from the sport of MMA to the world of Pro Wrestling. Here are a few highlights from the interview:

On her chances of winning the first ever Women’s Royal Rumble:

Nia stated that she is definitely up for the challenge and is ready to go through every woman that enters the women’s Royal Rumble match. Jax also believes that she could be the last woman standing tall at the Royal Rumble match.

On Ronda Rousey possibly joining the WWE Women’s division:

According to Nia Jax, it is Ronda Rousey who started the women’s revolution outside of WWE as she is the first woman ever to main-event a UFC pay-per-view, which is a huge achievement. Additionally, Nia claimed that Rousey joining the WWE roster will definitely be an amazing moment due to Rousey’s capabilities of doing different things.

“I don't know if she has ever faced anybody like some of our girls, who are extremely athletic and have insane talent, so I think it would kind of be an awakening for her as well."- Nia Jax stated.

On which woman superstar from WWE's past would you like to see return in the Royal Rumble match:

The Aussie born native added that she would like to step into the ring with former WWE Women’s Champion Beth Phoenix, at the Women’s Royal Rumble match.

“It would be something for me, kind of like a childhood thing, growing up seeing her [Beth Phoenix] being such a dominant woman. I would love for her to show up and be in the ring with her."- Nia Jax added.

What’s next?

Nia Jax’s focus will now be on the Women’s Royal Rumble match which takes place later this month, on the 28th of January at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.
