WWE Champion Randy Orton sat down for an interview with WWE.com. The interview was a look back at Orton’s career in the WWE spanning 15 years. Orton spoke about the highs and lows of his career, reinventing himself, and his favourite RKO.

Randy Orton is one of the biggest superstars in the WWE. Making ripples in the WWE as the Legend Killer, Randy Orton took down some of the biggest names in the company that included Hulk Hogan, Rowdy Roddy Piper and Sgt. Slaughter.
In a career spanning well over a decade, Randy became the youngest World Heavyweight Champion, won the Royal Rumble twice, won Money in the Bank, headlined Wrestlemania, became a 13-time World Champion, and is the current WWE Champion on Smackdown LIVE.
The heart of the matter
Looking back at his career, Randy said that it had been a fun ride. He pointed out that he was the young guy on the roster for a long time, and all of a sudden he was now being touted as a veteran. He mentioned that the abrupt change caught him unaware.
‘The Viper’ also said that he had a lot of support and encouragement from the likes of Triple H and Ric Flair when he started out in the business. He pointed out that being a third generation superstar, there was always the pressure of performing on the big stage and carrying his family’s legacy.
Orton mentioned that getting in a spectacular RKO was all about timing. He revealed that his RKO with Evan Bourne was his favorite. He also mentioned a few RKOs with Seth Rollins, Carlito, and CM Punk that turned out to be picture perfect.
What’s next?
Orton will be facing Bray Wyatt at the House of Horrors match this Sunday at Payback. Jinder Mahal will be watching the match closely as he looks to find out dents in ‘The Viper’s’ armor for their encounter at WWE Backlash for the WWE Championship on May 21 at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, IL.

Orton has reached a point in his career where he had done it all. Guys like him and Cena were the cornerstones of the WWE at a time when The Rock, Stone Cold, and Kurt Angle had left the company. His rivalries with the likes of John Cena, The Undertaker, Triple H, CM Punk, and Daniel Bryan are some of the highlights of his long career.
With the company now moving on to younger talent, Randy is one of those guys who can help the younger guys get over with the WWE Universe putting on some great matches in the process.
