WWE News: Roman Reigns picks his favorite Shield member

When will the Hounds of Justice fall again?
When will the Hounds of Justice fall again?

What's the story?

During a recent interview with Times of India to promote WWE's Live Event in New Delhi, Roman Reigns revealed that Dean Ambrose was his favourite member of the Shield.

In case you didn't know...

After a great run that started at Survivor Series 2012, the Shield broke up after Seth Rollins struck Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose with a steel chair on the June 02, 2014, episode of Monday Night Raw.

The Iowa native went on to become the Authority's champion while Reigns and Ambrose embarked on babyface runs with differing degrees of success. The Big Dog and the Lunatic Fringe tagged together on several occasions and even shared a rented car prior to the Shield reunion earlier this year.

The heart of the matter

During his interview with Times of India, Reigns opened up about a series of topics, notably calling Braun Strowman his greatest rival.

When asked about his favourite Shield member, the Georgia Tech product had almost no hesitation. "Ambrose, no doubt. He didn't swing the chair," he quipped. Reigns has even called Ambrose his best friend in WWE on several occasions.

What's next?

Roman Reigns is currently the Intercontinental Champion, and he is destined to win the Universal Championship from Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 33. Ambrose and Rollins are in pursuit of the Tag Team Championships, which they recently lost to Sheamus and Cesaro.

Author's take

Even though Roman Reigns doesn't have the charisma to be John Cena's successor, there is no question that the Shield is the most popular act in WWE today. Keeping the Hounds of Justice together for another year would probably be the best move for the current product.
